FILTERED TO MALCOLM

Any chance you'd be interested in having some drinks one evening? It feels rather depressing to drink by oneself all the time.

FILTERED TO DAPHNE
How have you been
I miss
How has your pursuit of education been treating you? I know I'm even newer to this world than you, but if there's anything I can do to assist you, I'd be happy to do so.

I'm glad they were able to give you some guidance. What topics are you going to study in these classes?

If by enjoy, you mean being soundly beaten in the first round, then yes. It was exceptionally enjoyable.

In all seriousness, despite the loss, it was a good evening. I intend to sign up again.

It seems to be what they refer to as general studies? So there's going to be a little bit of mathematics, a little bit of science, some literature. A little bit of everything, really, which I'm almost grateful for as I don't really know exactly what I want to focus on yet. I'm not used to having so many options at my fingertips.

Yes, that was exactly what I meant. It was so enjoyable for me, so I could only assume it was fun for you, too. (I jest.)

Do you? It seems to be consistently growing in popularity and the monetary prizes aren't terrible, either.

Well, I'll look forward to hearing your thoughts on each subject, if you'd care to share them with me once you begin.

Oh I have no doubt you found it most entertaining.

Odd as it may sound, it's the one place here that I can still feel normal and not massively out of place.

That doesn't sound odd at all, Simon. I think we're all trying to find some sense of normalcy in this place that's so unfamiliar, or separate from everything we've known. If fighting makes you feel more at home here, then there's nothing odd about it at all. And I promise I only enjoyed it a little bit.

I wish I could find whatever that thing would be for me here. My place in this world is so very different from the one I had back home.

I could be the I think you're on a good path to hopefully find it here. Though if you ever just want some company from home to help, I'll volunteer.

I miss our promenades. You know, the ones we had before it all became so complicated. When it was just easy. I wouldn't say no to one of those if you were up for it.

I miss them too. Not the gawking part, obviously. But your company was always exceptional. It would be an honor to join you, Daphne.

Heavens, no. I could forever do without the gawking. We could go to the farmer's market when it's open next. I could use some fresh produce for the flat, anyway. Would that interest you?

Fresh produce isn't a bad idea. One of the few things I can manage to feed myself without having to order.

To be entirely fair, I still cannot cook for the life of me. I buy produce to make myself feel like I'm being some semblance of a functioning adult.

I live mainly off of oatmeal and sandwiches.

At the very least, you need introduction to the best places for takeout.

That, at least, I am at least someone versed in. Luckily paying others to bring me things is something I'm quite good at.
