Suppose someone comes from a time when the idea of women seeking higher education wasn't necessarily a prominent thing and thus that someone had little occasion to consider what one might like to learn if given the opportunity to pursue academic endeavors. How would that someone go about looking into such a pursuit, and what should they study once they do so? What might their options actually be?

Yes, exactly, it's the number of options that's so overwhelming. I don't even know where to begin. You say you're still deciding, so what have you been studying in the meantime?

I was able to do just some general courses at first, but I think that I am leaning towards doing two focuses of study, in Linguistics and Literature. Both fascinate me and I just don't think I can choose.

It's nice that you can choose two if you'd like, though. How did you get started?
