He felt embarrassed, more than he would like to admit. It hadn't--- there had been emotion yes, and perhaps a little frustration, but as Willa had not been the intended receiver---

Llewyn frowned, his neck and ears now a deep red. He felt poorly for misidentifying her. That hadn't been... right. Perhaps he'd too much to drink, perhaps he should head home. There was no show tomorrow, the theater was thankfully closed on New Year's Day. That was why he had allowed himself to go out in the first place. But... This wasn't how---

His eyes widened as Willa covered her mouth with her hand. She was still pressed away from him, and feeling even poorer for that---

"Are you alright?" he asked, tentatively stepping closer to her again. Llewyn didn't want to after invading her space like he had, but she actually looked quite sick now...

He reached for her elbow, his hand hovering beneath it and his other over her back in case she needed the support. It did not look like she was about to fall over, but there was very clearly pain on her face...

"You don't look well." Somewhere in the back of his mind, there was a self-effacing joke about how poor a kisser he was, but considering everything, that hardly felt appropriate to entertain.

She didn't feel well, but she wanted Llewyn to leave her alone and didn't know how to say so. Yes, she'd had a lot to drink before so perhaps it was all hitting her now, but she had not felt ill until he'd let her go, so it could...Willa ducked her chin down as she wondered what to do, knowing she didn't want to accept his help, but she felt awful and---

Tears prickled her eyes. She wasn't sure if she'd ever felt this way; he'd said it was an accident, but did that make it alright? Willa risked a look up at Llewyn and she found it startling how she knew that before this night she'd stared at him with girlish adulation and there was not a trace of that within her now.

"I need to go home," she managed to say after a deep intake of breath. Willa tucked her arm in to pull away from him, but she didn't know what to do next. Poe had said he'd have help with transportation so she hadn't thought about having to sober up, but she did not think...her friend would see that she was upset and she didn't...but...

Will curled her arms around herself. "I need to find my friends."

He could take her home. Or---

Llewyn blinked, realizing he wasn't as sober as he usually found himself. So maybe he couldn't take her home, maybe he shouldn't be going near her at all, maybe he---

He felt his brow furrow in a strange way as she pulled back from him. He was only trying to help. What should he...? Leaving her alone, as she struggled, felt wrong despite it clearly being what she wanted. Helping her seemed like the right thing to do, but she did not want that. So how was he supposed to...?

She was drunk. He was drunk, too, but apparently less than her. And if her drunk mind didn't want him anywhere near her, then that was fine, but he couldn't let her walk off alone. So Llewyn shook his head, moving closer to Willa again as he looked around for anyone that he may recognize.

Hestia! He knew that... Hestia was friends with Willa, he remembered her mentioning her. But it appeared that she had departed already, so...

"Who--- Who are your friends?" Llewyn asked, his hand reaching again for Willa's arm. She did not look right, she looked unbalanced and upset and--- He attempted his best to grip her elbow and steady her. "Who did you come with?"

Willa slowly looked down at his hand and then back up at Llewyn. This night had taken such an odd turn that now, in her weariness, she didn't know if she could even bother to pull herself away from him. What other option did she have?

She looked out toward the crowd in search of someone that...she hadn't actually come with anyone, she wasn't sure why she said what she had, but it would be better to...she wondered...this was ridiculous. Willa felt ridiculous, and tired, and unhappy, so she looked up at Llewyn with a frown and shook her head.

"They're gone."

Poe would know immediately that something was wrong and that would cause a problem. She didn't want to ruin his night...it was over, she just needed to leave the barn, and unfortunately Llewyn Towler was the option she was left with. Willa let out a breath and dropped her head back to the wall as she looked back up at him.

"Just get me out of here," she muttered.

Maybe he should--- bring her to Mungo's? No, no, it wasn't... she hadn't even retched, she just looked---

There was a dense and uncomfortable force that had lodged itself nice and deep on Llewyn's back. He didn't exactly understand why; most of its presence he understood. But even, as he gripped Willa's arm tighter, wrapped his around her own, he found he did not like how it weighed down his whole body.

Why was she looking at him like that? He was just trying to help. He couldn't... leave her like this, that would not be right either. If something happened because she had been alone... because he left her alone...

His brow furrowed. Where could he...? He didn't know where she lived. Kendrick wasn't here, Hestia wasn't here, Kera wasn't here... Llewyn nodded his head. He knew what he would do if this was anyone else, someone that needed help and was a friend... regardless of an immediately recent indiscretion...

"Okay. Hold on."

He continued to nod, closing his eyes as he focused. He thought of his flat, how there was a guest room for a reason, and she could stay there for the night until she felt better. He had some potions for being nauseous, he was sure...

After a few moments, he and Willa disapparated with a crack.
