So, hi, I guess? I'm Forsythe. I know. It's a terrible name. But it's mine, so. I mean, what can you do? I've thought about changing it, but it's such a hassle and I don't even know what I'd call myself. I've been Forsythe my whole like. The Third, by the way. My grandparents thought it was a great idea to call their son The Second, and he made me the Third. It would mean more if, you know, we got along. But whatev. It is what it is.

Sorry. I'm rambling. I tend to do that. I get on a subject and it's like I don't know how to shut up. I know when. I mean I'm aware I should have stopped typing about a dozen sentences ago, and yet here we are. And I'm still typing. I'm a writer, that's what I do. But I'll stop now. because it's the thing to do. Right. This is me, stopping. Hi.

Rambling isn't so bad. I mean, sometimes finding words can be hard. Maybe not for you since you're a writer, but in new situations or when introducing yourself. At least I find it hard sometimes.

Hi! I'm Ruby.

Hi Ruby! Sometimes rambling gets me into trouble. Not always. but sometimes people just don't want to hear it. So they get annoyed. Which is sad. Cause I just...like to use words.

I think anything can get someone into trouble depending on the person. But I fall over words all the time because of nerves. But I get the people getting annoyed because not caring about any particular thing you might be talking about.

Well, that's just rude. I mean, there's no reason to get annoyed because someone's having trouble with the words. Words can be difficult. Especially for people who aren't writers. I promise I won't get annoyed.

It's okay. I'm pretty good at tuning it out. I just get super excited about engineering and science and people get all glaze-y eyed. But I still think that it makes more senes than most people.

I don't know much about science or engineering, aside from what I've learned in basic classes. But that makes sense since my interest is more to the writing and reading and stuff. Math and science were never really my thing. But that doesn't make it any less valid.

I like reading! I guess for me, it's seeing the way parts just fit together and how you can find ways to help people in what you create.

That makes sense. A lot of sense, actually.

Apparently me always knowing that I wanted to do engineering was weird but I don't mind it. Is that how writing is for you?

Why is it weird? I'd think it's a good thing to always know what you want to do.

Right? But mostly for school. A lot of people are undecided and figuring it out. I've just always known.

Still seems like a good thing. I mean, there's nothing good about floundering. I didn't answer the question you asked. But no. It hasn't been that way for me and writing. I mean I've always been a writer, I was making up stories before I could write them down, but I didn't know and I still don't know, if I want to make an actual career out of writing. Maybe it's just a hobby, you know? Something I do for me, but I don't need to do it for the rest of the world.

You would think. But I know a lot of people go into school undeclared and do their GE and find what fits them, which is also good. But that makes sense. Not everything has to be a job and work. It's good to have hobbies. Like ice skating for me.

Ice skating sounds cool. I don't think I have the coordination for that.

You never know! I mean, ice skating and fighting tend to be when I actually have coordination.

,You're new I Kinda? Not like in a competitive way. My dad, uncle and sister did competitive MMA so I know basics and how to defend myself if I have to.

Yep! They're all really good at it. I tended to stick more to building things or ice skating but...yeah.
