I usually just get the store brand of eyedrops, contact solution, etc for whatever they consider the most popular brand. I figure that the ingredients couldn't be that much different than the more expensive brands, at least the most expensive brands that aren't for specific medical purposes. Out of curiosity today, I picked up the one that said "all natural" to see why they were so expensive vs what I usually use. All natural would have different ingredients after all, right?

Oh yeah, they were certainly different. The active ingredient of the "all natural one" was belladonna. Which... I'm fairly certain is a poison? I think I'll just stick to the generic version of Blink. Seems a lot safer.

Please tell me you're joking about that.

I wish I could say I was. Please tell me you haven't been using them?

I haven't been using them I promise. I actually don't know what kind of eye drops I bought the last time I bought them but they weren't the all natural ones.

Chemicals have at least been tested and gone through a verification process. They're cheap, but we know what's in them at least, you kow?

We know that they aren't poisons even if we can't pronounce all of the ingredients.

I mean, if we break down most things by chemical make up, we wouldn't be able to pronounce all of the ingredients. There's a reason I only took one year of chemistry.

Probably the same reason I only took one year of it.

I'm so glad my school had psychology as one of the options for science credit.

Lucky. I had to suffer through Biology. And a lab partner who thought it was hilarious to taunt me with the dissections.

Oh gross. I don't get why those are still a thing. It's the 21st century, computer simulations exist.

Because some schools are cheap.

You only have to buy one computer program and reuse it every year for every student vs a hundred frogs every year.

I don't know why I'm surprised to hear this. I know the wives of some of my father's associates use botox so it wouldn't be the first time that a poison was used in a beauty product.

I just want my eyes not to dry out and stick to my lenses. What is wrong with people, putting poison in themselves on purpose?

I'd rather your eyes not stick to your lenses either.

They think they need to do so to be attractive.

Prioritizing being attractive over being healthy is just... a really weird thing to do. Especially when most people who've had a lot done look like their skin is some weird sort of mask.

I agree entirely cherie. Some of my father's business associates wives...I'm fairly certain that if they smiled their entire face would crack.

That seems to be the sane reaction. Do the people that buy this stuff even read the ingredients?

Somehow I don't think they do?

I mean many things have toxic ingredients in safe amounts but there's...a limit.

Yeah, and I know that it depends on the dosage if it's a medicine or a poison, but I'd only trust a doctor to determine that. I'm... not sure I trust them to have a real doctor on staff somehow.

I think because they're not actually sold as medicine.

And now I want to go back and look at all the "natural medicine" to find what small print they leave on the box to keep from being sued.
