I am still getting used to these devices, but it was recommended that I try to find new ways to socialise outside of school.

My name is Wanda, I am a student, I have recently been relocated to America in the last few years and meeting new people would be rather nice.

I may start adopting cats if I do not find something to do with myself.

	I was, for a long time. And now that I am at college it is hard to work out how to make friends. My teachers want me to try to make friends outside of class. I don't think they know how hard it can be sometimes. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Then I think we're opposites, I was home schooled... well at home. No, apparently it is easy to simply go out and talk to people. One told me to make conversation on the bus. I do not think he has been on public transport in a while. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Traditional school didn't really work for me so my mom is letting me try this way until she can join me. Or if he has it's different than the one I've been taking. I don't want to talk to anyone I don't know on the bus. I want to be left alone to listen to...whatever on my phone. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

So far I'm doing better in my classes. I like not having to actually get up and go to a building. I can do my assignments on my schedule more.

And if you say something to them about not wanting to talk - they accuse you of being rude or something like that. I don't think it's rude to not want to be bothered by someone I don't know. It's a lot easier to talk to people over a computer.

	It is more suitable like that, isn't it? And when you are not feeling motivated at 9am, you can wait until 10am if it suits. I agree with you. I do not like being called a 'bitch' just because I am not conforming to what they want to do. Computers are easier, there's less pressure. (Reply to this) (Parent)
