The good thing about being from a time zone that is two hours behind local time is that I can use those “extra hours” to completely finish unpacking and decorating my apartment.

The bad thing is that I lose some sleep cause I’m trying to wake up at a normal time here.

Any tips for going to sleep earlier? I’ve tried but I just end up staring at the ceiling.

I've personally rarely found it worth it the next day, though I also get very little enjoyment out of being drunk.

It’s not for everyone, I suppose. Or maybe you just haven’t been with the right people.

It's not about the company, I just prefer to keep a firm hand on my facilities.

Bad experience?

Nothing of note, though there was a rather mortifying experience at a dinner party in my youth. I don't find it especially pleasant to recall embarrassing moments from the night before over breakfast.

Now, you’ve piqued my interest. May i ask about te details of this dinner party?

But i get what you mean. It’s been a while since I’ve embarrassed myself due to alcohol.

I declared my feelings to a girl quite publicly, much to her embarrassment. It was not a situation I should have put her in.

Oh, that does sound like an evening.

In the end it turned out alright, I suppose, but I certainly embarrassed my own family, and most likely hers as well.

So...did it work? Did she feel the same?

She did. We dated for five years and then were engaged for another nine, though I'm afraid that in the end it did not work out.

Wow, that’s quite some time to be together and not have it work out.

If you add up only the time where we could enjoy one another's company, it would perhaps be less than four years. My job kept me away most of the time, and I cannot fault her for finally having grown tired of it.

I'm afraid I've veered rather off topic, however. What is it that's brought you to California?

You’ll find someone one day.

An airplane. ;)

I had this sense that something was missing, hoping I wasn’t wrong about it being here.

Perhaps. I may be so lucky as to have already found her

So you came based on a feeling? That was quite brave of you.

Stay positive.

Well, I returned, based on a feeling...doesn’t seem brave to me, though.

I could personally never uproot my life and move on a whim.

You've lived here before?

It’s time I get out on my own.

Yeah, left for a bit.

Yet another difficult thing.

Well, welcome back. What was California like when you left?

So you're no stranger to the strange happenings that take place in the area?

Then I'd say, given most people's dreams, that it was truly an act of resolve to return.

Just felt out of place not being able to talk about all the stuff that went on here and in my dreams

Yes, that is one of the challenges once you've experienced the dreams yourself. It was a little strange knowing of this whole other reality which I'm apart of and being able to discuss it with no one when I was at sea.
