I'm not really trusting my computer to not eat my project with everything going on, so I'm just messing around on my phone and trying to distract myself from the tv that keeps flipping itself on and off to different channels at random. Because that's not creepy one bit.

So youtube has been an awesome distraction. Maybe I'll find a funny video, or I'll learn something new. I saw one titled "What's Pink Bubblegum Supposed to Taste Like?", which is a question I never knew I was actually curious about until then.

So. Bubble gum... is supposed to taste like bubble gum. That was very informative. I'm sure I'll get those ten minutes of my life back somehow. Thank you, youtube.

Exactly, dude probably never really thought anything would come of it, so the patent probably never entered his mind.

I've never had zebra stripe gum? But if I find any, I'll buy it now. I used to like the ones that had some weird strawberry liquid in the middle when I was a kid.

It's called fruit stripe gum, and the flavor lasts maybe long enough to get the strip into your mouth. I don't think I've ever heard of gum with a liquid in the middle, though.

If I see it, I'll definitely buy it. The one I'm talking about is called Bubbaloo. There was also one that came in a roll, sorta like tape. I think that was the best one I can remember for blowing bubbles. Now I want gum, even though I haven't had any since middle school.

I wonder if they still make it? And I remember the one on the tape. It was blueberry, lemon, cherry flavor, came in a blue dispenser?

According to Amazon, which just took me like 10 minutes to get to, they do. 50 pieces for $9. The tape one had a few flavors, and the dispenser was whatever color the gum was.

That probably isn't too bad for that many pieces. And I only remember the blueberry because I saw all the flavors and got to blueberry and just thought to myself "this is how you end up in Wonka's juicing room"

Defnitely. You know, now that you mention it, I can totally see that and it's hilarious.

Poor Violet. If she didn't hit blueberry, she'd have been alright.

You think? I always thought like she and Veruca might have both just gone down the trash chute otherwise.

I'm surprised Charlie's grandfather didn't go down the chute, honestly.

Well, besides getting Charlie to steal a drink in the factory. this guy had been laying in bed with the other three grandparents while Charlie's mom worked her fingers to the bone to take care of them all. And the second something fun comes up, dude is singing and dancing. I mean, I realize musical logic is a thing. But he didn't need any help getting around after that. He clearly could and just instead decided to let his daughter or daughter in law just... take care of the whole family without help.

You know, I never even thought about that, but you're right. Like, it honestly would have served him and Charlie right to get a little rough chop from those fan blades if it weren't a kid's movie. As a kid it's easy to be like, woah it's a miracle! But now you mention it... yeah. He was not a really good role model.

That part of the movie still freaks me out. I know they're going to be alive and everything's going to be okay, but I still have to look away from the screen.
