I would like to thank whoever is straightening their hair at 5:30 am, with no clue how to use a flat iron, for having to wake up because it set off the smoke alarm. Really, I had nothing better to do on a Sunday morning, like sleeping in, than to stand outside of the dorms in pajamas and bare feet while we all waited for an all clear.

TV and the internet gave me a false idea of what dorm life would be like. I thought it would be parties, or people setting up giant games of the floor is lava in the common areas. Instead I get people who play the same song on repeat and people who fail at hair so hard that they have to call the fire department.

I mean it could have been worse. I remember once the alarm went off and someone had to stand outside in a towel with their hair still having shampoo in it at 2:30 in the morning. But yeah. Movies and TV lie about things like that. They don't take into account the thin walls either.

Hell if I know. At least I know to to look for someone with a chunk of missing hair because it had to have melted off or something for it to set off the smoke alarms.

I'm going to guess yes? I have NO idea what she was doing for it to do that. Maybe she mistook her hair spray for flat iron spray? It's the only guess I've got. If I find her, I'm playing a one woman game of four square outside of her dorm at three in the morning, though.
