Well, it seems my dream self has taken to entertaining children with war stories. My nephew was quite delighted to hear about the time the Volstovic ambassador had some bad eel and threw up all over the Ke-Han warlord's favorite niece. He was also quite impatient about getting to the Dragon Corps. At least I seem to have pulled myself out of my never-ending pit of self-loathing. I was particularly tired of waking up feeling just as tired as I had when I went to sleep the night before.

Oh, they're mechanical dragons? That is a relief. I was wondering about the implications of being able to create not just life, but to create such a powerful creature on a whim. The dragons in my dreams speak, though I can't speak to their humanity. I've just recently come into possession of a hatchling, and so far he seems limited to eating, sleeping, and growing.

	Yes. It would be some Talent, but I have never heard of it existing. I believe that is how most recently born/hatched creatures are. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Combustion. Fire, or just explosions? Uncommonly good luck. Or perhaps not. I'm afraid I don't know enough about dragons to know if it's common for a newly hatched dragon or not. I recall being surprised to learn that they could speak fresh out of the shell. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	That sounds like a Talent that would be coveted in a warring military. Yes, I can't say I had expected it either. Even after reading it once the egg had come aboard, I had not truly expected him to speak right out of the shell. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Then I am sorry to hear it.

Well, we had chosen a man by lot who would harness him. In some of the old books we had on board, it said that a man was to address the dragon upon its hatching and it would respond. Our dragon didn't respond to the man who had been chosen, however, and as I was contemplating the fact that we must have missed a step, he came right up to me and asked me why I was frowning.
