Christ on a white horse, this Brexit nonsense is pissing all over the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Did anyone not consider what ramifications this will have, to fuck with the border, when they voted leave like the idiots they are? Decades and decades of violence and tension, and now it's all going to be kicked up again. I remember I used to travel back and forth with no trouble at all - who knows what will happen now, since loads of people live and work on different sides of the border, and cross every day.

I'll just be out scrubbing my deck. And I mean that in the cleanest way possible.

Alright, lad and lady. I've got good news and bad news. Good news is, I've found some information that is vital to Luke's situation. Bad news - it's not exactly heartwarming.

Based on our meeting, and details given about the witnessed crime, it would appear that after consulting records of arrests in that particular area of Connecticut, approximately zero arrests were made for the crimes committed. Which means the ones who committed it are still out there and now, since I've got the records, I can narrow things down even more - and with Luke's help (since he could likely recognise who he saw) I can get locations for the ones who committed the crime. And take care of things, so the fellow doesn't have to look over his shoulder all the time.

But that might require another in-person meeting.

I think a large part of it comes down to disenfranchised English Nationalism.

With Scotland and Ireland being largely remain, but the majority of England believing that this would close their borders and halt immigration, well, I think the closet racists came out in force.

The economic backlash will undoubtedly fuck them over more than their foolish concerns of 'foreigners'. Especially since, in order to continue trading with other countries... they'll need to strike up immigration agreements anyway, it's a farce.

Aye, those closet racists had an excuse - and so they just went balls to the walls with it, without even realising. To be fair, politicians weren't exactly forthcoming either. I doubt even they planned ahead, or thought about much of anything in advance, so it was like the blind leading the blind. Why one would listen to the likes of any politician though, rather than being smart about finding the facts, well. Laziness, perhaps.

I think I also read there's been an explosion of folks attempting to get their hands on Irish passports, since Ireland has no plans to leave the EU. People could still travel freely. I'd make a killing over there, forging documents

From what I followed, it came down to two major policies; economy and immigration. And even then no one had a concrete plan or figures. The two sides spent more time arguing about what the other was saying, ramping up the fear mongering and then just letting an uneducated population vote for something they weren't even entirely sure of the in's and out's of.

It would be the likeliest way to go. Since I don't think there's a restriction of United Kingdom movement, so Irish passports would still allow free movement.

What a complete explosion. That was just petrol and a match, good god. Makes me wonder what's next, what will happen for this election over here.

That's the idea. You just need a parent or grandparent from Ireland. At least my father's from Dublin, or was. But either way, I'm somewhat glad to be elsewhere.

I'm really worried that the acceptance of casual racism and xenophobia will come as some kind of example to follow and we'll end up burning down the country.

I'm pretty sure if all else fails I can still go and live in Canada. I come with my own heat source now, I won't even mind the winter.

It's terrifying, isn't it? Or we'll be nuked here. Best prepare a bunker.

Kenzi's from there, I might follow her back if need be. They've got their own problems too, but nothing like all this.

I wonder if I could survive a nuclear blast... I'd radiation proof, I don't know if I'm nuclear radiation proof. That'll be a hard one to figure out.

You never hear of quite the dramatic play of things from Canada, do you? Plus, I'm a little besotted with their Prime Minister, I can't lie.

Testing that sounds dangerous. I'd be concerned you'd disintegrate.

He's a good looking bloke, isn't he? We get cheetos here, Canada gets a fellow who looks like a film actor.

It seems like a pretty extreme hypothesis to test.

Yes, a liberal, feminist, equality activist who seems to actually attempt to make the changes he promised to make. His film star good looks just help him along.

That it does, Ms Danvers, Vaporiser of Toilets.

I really hope it's not too good to be true. Politicians are slippery sorts.

Never living that one down.

It's the hidden forces to worry about, isn't it. The big companies pulling the strings with money, the secret backgrounds, the dirty little lies. But we live in hope.

Likely never, but I remain envious of that skill.

Suppose if you completely give up on hope, then you've got nothing, do you?

The blasting is one of the most envious skills, yes.

I think that's what happens before you become the rage ball of evil.

I wish I could say people are jealous of my hook, but I doubt it.

Indeed it is. That's no way to go. Been there, wasn't fun in the aftermath.

Probably up until the point of learning how to get one. Then they just shudder in admiration.

From what I heard, you had a little help getting there.
