Since my inquiry for baked goods was well answered the last time, I thought I'd try again. I need something sparkly for my Valentine, where does one get...baked goods that are glittery? I assume there is such a thing, yes?

On the dream front, it's been a whole metric tonne of things. Snow queens and spells where we all hated each other and the newly-formed Triumvirate of Evil (that didn't stay a threesome for very long, mind you), and dragons and alternate lives - good god. But in terms of 'gifts,' I also hope someone on this network is a botanist of some kind. I've a sort of strange plant that should be studied and contained it killed my brother, since it can be dangerous - well, the thorns are, I should say. Then again, no one should be getting themselves scratched with poisonous thorns unless you're Charming and stupidly manage it somehow.

It sounds nasty enough. I hope you're able to get rid of it. You have had enough poisoning for a while. I also hope it doesn't sour you against receiving flowers in general.

Maybe I can do something useful with it, we'll see. I'm certainly not against receiving flowers though. I never have received any before at all, actually.

Something useful like what?

Really? That's a shame. You and Kenzi both can expect to get some fairly soon, I think. I had wanted it to be a happy surprise, but given the "gift" the Dreams decided to give you, I thought maybe I should warn you first, just in case.

Poison Educational purposes? Learning about new lands?

Well, that's quite sweet of you, love. We'll have you over for a fish fry or something, to thank you.

Perhaps...

I got small arrangements of zinnias and daises to send my friends this year. I thought we could all use something bright and cheery.

I've never been to a fish fry. It sounds lovely. Thank you.

Bright and cheery can't hurt. There's been enough gloom and doom recently. But I'm leaving for a holiday soon, so we'll fry some fish for you when we get back, yes?

Oh, I agree, and I'm tired of it. My dreams are certainly not helping in the slightest in that regard.

Of course. Where are you off to now?

Before you go, I wanted to talk to you about the job I wanted you to do for me. I spoke with my mother and she reluctantly gave me some information.

Nor mine. What's happening in yours?

Northern Ireland, with Kenzi. I've got to show her some things and I figure the face-bleeding earned a trip.

Certainly. In person?

Apparently I did something very terrible as a child and have had a bounty on my head ever since. A marine admiral attempted to freeze me alive and he almost succeeded. I woke up this morning terribly cold. I'm worried about how this development will effect my crewmates. I don't want them in danger. It might be time to move on.

Oh, that sounds lovely, Killian! Will you be showing her where you grew up?

If that would be alright with you.

What?? That's madness, are you sure you're alright here?

I grew up in a variety of different neighbourhoods, so perhaps not exactly, but there are other aspects she can see.

Of course. Today's fine, or whenever you've some free time after work.

It's all madness here, Killian, dear. This is Wonderland and we're all Alice.

Oh, I wonder if we do have an Alice here. Wouldn't that be something? Is there an Alice in your dreams?

Sorry, that's terribly off topic. To answer your question, I'm sure I'll be fine. It's probably time for my dream self to move on anyway. I'll be very sad to leave the Straw Hats, but that man...he could freeze any one of them and kill them and that would break my heart!

I understand. Still, it's nice for you to get a chance to share that with her so she can get to know you better, as well as a bit of where she comes from. I have to admit, I'm a little jealous of that.

I keep my shop open late to accommodate some nocturnal clients and friends, but sometime this afternoon, perhaps?

There's a Wonderland, which I've been to. I'm sure there's an Alice lurking about. Though you ought to take the day off and let me run things for you at the shoppe for a bit. Rest up and get warm, I'll even make you some tea.

We'll find answers for you soon enough. I'm sure you won't be connected to the dirty Irish anyway. And this afternoon works splendidly.

When I was little I used to pretend that I was Alice wandering around in Wonderland. Thinking about it makes me laugh now.

I would rather not be alone with my thoughts of Admiral Aokiji and his ice-ice power, but perhaps you're right. If you don't mind tending the shop for a bit in the morning, I can put myself in order again. I would like to take a hot bath, but I don't trust the water these days. Tea would be lovely, however, thank you.

I wouldn't mind, really. Just having a connection to anything would be nice. More and more I feel as though I'm missing something and I fear my dreams are attempting to tell me that. I really appreciate you helping me to find it.

Perhaps not all versions of Wonderland are godawful, but this one was. Certainly a mind fuck. You'd be wandering for awhile, as it's difficult to even leave.

I'd offer to give you a sponge bath but that might be inappropriate. Tea I can do.

No trouble. I'm glad I can help - it's the most rewarding part of my work, really.

Most versions I've seen have been pretty strange, some even downright nightmarish. If memory serves, the original version was absolutely terrifying, however, your dreams tend to take these sorts of things to their extremes, don't they.

Your offer would be appreciated, but yes, it would probably be inappropriate. Though perhaps you could be a kind of lifeguard in case it turns out that all water zaps my energy. The hana-hana no mi is useful, but it's drawback is maddening. Who ever heard of a pirate who can't go into the water?!

:) You really are a sweetheart, you know.

They sort of do. Especially the concept of good and evil - bloody ridiculous, all of that.

I'll stand guard, certainly, and give you some bathing privacy. However if the water is about to kill you I'll rescue you. And you're still a pirate at heart - it's all about pirate code, and following it, not necessarily the water.

I'm a rotten scoundrel, but thank you, darling.

It seems so over the top.

Thank you, I will feel so much safer and the company - even through the door - would be nice. Ah, yes, the pirate code. How could I have forgotten? The Straw Hats have one of their own and Luffy has been teaching it to me.

Of course, but I like you regardless.

Sure thing, love. Will get you settled with bubbles and tea then go charmingly sell antiques for you. All in a day's work.

There, see, and people think pirates are lawless.
