I woke up this morning to a loud thumping noise and realised that it was the sound of my heart beating. Something it hasn't done in months, and now is finally doing again.

It is... interesting how used to being undead you become, when you finally transition through it all. I forgot about things like breathing, or temperature changes. I think I'll miss the things being a vampire awarded me. Superhuman strength, and speed. I'll have to adjust my fighting style all over again.

But it's worth it to be able to eat real food. Speaking of that, I'm starving. Cass, we should order in a bunch of pizzas tonight!

	We always suspected that my healing factor would eventually kick in to the point that it 'healed' me of it. I still have no idea how any of that works. I wish it was that easy for the rest of you. 	Yes, it is. For a while I felt more... myself... as a vampire, but I think that was actually destructive. It was nice to be able to switch my emotions off. Getting used to those is probably the hardest. I do like the look of it. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

I am a little different, stronger maybe. Emotions are heightened, senses are heightened. Noises drove me crazy at first, like everything was ticking, buzzing, humming, then I learned to focus and that isn't so bad. Flipping the emotion switch isn't the best idea where we are from, but a survival skill. I haven't done that yet. ~~Feeding is a rush.~~

Keep it. Wear it even.

In my case, I already have heightened senses as part of my mutation. Those definitely were worse when I first became a vampire, but I adjusted to it well thanks to dream training. I still have them, now, there is at least that.

I think I will! I wasn't big on jewelry before, but it's grown on me. And I don't want to just cast that part of my life aside.

Do your people need any extra blood bags? I have a stock of them I won't need, now.

I've just adjusted overall. I might even like it a bit too much. I don't know if I would go back to being human if I had a choice.

My ring is big and a little - glaring, and I'm not a jewelry guy, and it stays on my middle finger so I can flip people off appropriately.

Elena and I have the food covered, but there are others who don't. We will take them and store them if you don't want them.

	I understand. I suspected this was coming, myself, but I can't say that I would have chosen it. I am not really sure. There were things about it I enjoyed too much, too. Mine is on my thumb. 	I get how that could happen. I know it isn't great, but I like feeding, which I shouldn't. I like my alcohol tolerance too. Then the compulsion is a lot of fun. I'm glad that you and your fiance are so well adjusted to this. I wasn't sure how you both felt about it, but I think it must be different for you two - you both knew it was coming.

There are definitely things I'll miss. I'm not sure I'm happier about it. I was well adjusted to my life like that, and now I'll have to adjust again.

I'm happy to get to eat food again, though!
