When someone says "Hey, I hear Iran is nice this time of year" it's best to ignore the attempt to get you to say "Oh, really?." It's a not-so nice way of saying that's where you'll spend a month of your life.

Sometimes I love my job. And sometimes I spend a week vacuuming up sand. I think there's still sand in my boots.

Anyways, someone at work gave me this group's address and so, here I am.

Sometimes you have to have a gut for something. And my gut is telling me to take a risk on something. I might just do that.

My gut is telling me to not condone anything that potentially breaks laws. Not that my job applies to Civilian laws, but as a general advisory.

Personally, I always trust my gut, and find that those who do enjoy their lives so much more.

Nothing illegally dangerous! Do you know how many laws I'll have to research for any dig I want to do?

I'm Lara, by the way. I'm aspiring to dig in the dirt.

Quite a few, actually. Strangely enough they were part of my education - the laws that is.

A pleasure, I am Sigrun. I hunt people down who hide in the sand thinking they'll escape military justice... am a Military Police officer, no aspiring here, been here too long for that!

You don't want a promotion?

I have had quite a few. I have no desire for the responsibilities of those that are above me. I am 1st Sergeant, the only routes above me are Sergeant Major, Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, then the various Warrant and Commissioned officers.

I enjoy field and dirty work too much to be behind a desk all day. I had to fight tooth and nail to keep doing the work I do as it was but I've been in too long for them to have not promoted me this far.

I can't disagree. I'd never want to be stuck in a museum like my father.

Besides, I'm pretty sure if I got stuck behind a desk all day I'd eat my weight in donuts and taco bell, or something equally as awful for me.

That would be pretty bad!

I would be rather upset!

I'd much rather be outside!
