With an extra coat he'd pulled out of his car over his arm Stabler carefully ascended the stairs to the DA offices, stepping inside. With a flash of his ID he located Cutter's office and knocked before stepping inside. Glancing around his eyebrows rose as he took in the mess that was supposed to be an office. "You weren't kidding." He commented dryly, shaking his head as he shut the door, looking Cutter over before offering up the coat.

It was an okay day, so Stabler had decided to go for a walk. The young woman who had answered his request and offered to go with him had weirded him out but he figured he was a big boy and thus could take care of himself if needed. With a sigh he leaned against a tree, looking around. The twins hadn't wanted to come, too busy with video games and the computer to bother leaving him to his own devices. |

The twins had gone to stay the night with their respective friends for the weekend, leaving Stabler home alone. Very alone. He could have called Alex or Liv, but then he'd have to admit something was wrong and he couldn't do that. They'd push for a case and that's not what he wanted. So instead he'd begged his attacked to come and make him feel...okay. Useful in some way.
But until Keller got there, he'd stand in front of the mirror in his boxers in the bathroom with the door open, staring at himself. At the bruises. At his broken arm still in a cast. It was a stranger's face staring back at him with his own eyes and that was enough to keep him from looking away. |

Stabler pulled up in front of Alex's place of employment not long after he promised he would. Amazingly, the New York City traffic had co-operated with him, making it easy to get there in record time. Getting out of his car, he locked it and headed into the building to the front desk. "Detective Elliot Stabler," He flashed his badge. "I'm here to see Alex Cabbott." He offered up as explanation.
The young secretary called and informed Alex someone was here to see her and then hung up, offering a little smile.
"She'll be down in a few moments. Take a seat."
Nodding, Elliot moved to drop down into one of the chairs, glancing around. |

Stabler was completely shit faced when the bartender kicked him out and told him to sleep it off. He'd been drinking all night, the beer discounted due to the fact, and left without a place to drink he tried to figure out where to go. Obviously he couldn't go home to his kids like this so strangely, the next place he thought of was Keller's. Hopping a port key he ended up at his look a likes doorstep, wavering a bit.
"Keller!" He called out, knocking on the door before leaning against the wall, eyes closed. |

He'd called Keller the afternoon after the kids had gone to school, telling him to come over right then and there. Stabler was upset. The other man had taken his daughter without asking, without telling him where for a bike ride. Yes, Lizzy should have told him and she had been grounded appropriately but Keller-being the adult-should have also told him.
So, pacing around a bit he finally slumped onto the couch and waited. |
