After Lulu and the boys had left, Gabe turned around back to Lilo at the table. "You. You and I need to talk." He sat down at the chair next to her, a hand resting on her back. "What'd you think of having the little ones around? You okay?" She looked fine, but watching the movie had to have been difficult for her.

Gabriel thought for a moment. "... that makes sense, really." His ritual, her ritual.

He wet his lips. "I have to tell you, I'm not crazy about some big function ... but I wouldn't mind getting married. At all." It'd have to be a little while yet; her father might kill him if it was super soon.
