WHO: Phoebe, Gaz. If there's anyone else at Mordhaus in Baja, drop me a line! This is Phoebe's first visit out of Paris :)
WHAT: Meeting for the first time, music will most likely come up
WHERE: Mordhaus, Baja, California
WARNINGS: I don't know, but uh...will update!

Perhaps the most intelligent of the Titans, Phoebe had found herself at a befuddled loss as to how a manky old boot was supposed to transport her anywhere. One moment, and she'd been handed it, and another moment, the time was up. She stood still a moment, staring at the salesman, before she felt a harsh yank right around her navel and seemed to twist and spin and almost fly, landing in what was clearly a garden of the worst things imaginable.

On all fours in a generally relaxed outfit for the fashion town of Paris, a black little dress with proper accessories, her hair done in relaxed curls, with a top that showed her chest a bit, she found herself ready to hurl. Not only that, but the shapes of the tall bushes wasn't very welcoming, either. She swore she'd never seen a dinosaur made of plant life look more real than she one she looked up to find.

What else had she expected??

She finally managed to regain her balance and calm, hiked her purse over her shoulders, and adjusted a strap on her ankle before walking up to the closest door and speaking with security. Thankfully, the Wartooth matriarch had told them immediately, which was quite to hear. She was led inside and took a look around, noting the architecture. What she did note after that was the level and type of music being blared, which had her asking the security where the kitchen was.

A moment later and she'd down two Advil with a glass of water, bracing herself against the counter and trying to fight the oncoming headache of despair.

"Actaeon," she said, seemingly relieved at having her shoes taken, though it left her in nude hose against the floor. There was nothing wrong with this, not with her, she who had been born of a gold-crown and aided her daughter's birthing on a free-floating island. Blood, the drums of war, such things weren't very well received with her, but there was no denying this art as something soothing. As mentally traumatizing as it could have been from the artist, it didn't cause Phoebe to worry, or to feel like asking Gaz what had been her inspiration and what she was thinking and trying to do with such bloody details.

"Friends, our nets and our weapons are wet with the blood of our victims; we have had sport enough for one day, and to-morrow we can renew our labours. Now, while Phoebus parches the earth, let us put by our implements and indulge ourselves with rest." Those were the general translations of her words. "Later, in the fine clearing amidst a forest of Cyprus trees, the hunter caught them nude, bathing. Instead of turning his face and ignoring, as any good gentleman once tried by the Chiron like Achilles himself should have done, he instead gazed upon them without shame. Once Artemis learned of this, she turned him into a stag and his hunting dogs rent him apart."

A small smile. "I think she may have offered him to her brother in sacrifice, I do not recall that part well."

Gaz nodded, thinking she'd sketch it out tonight once Phoebe was settled. She listened to Phoebe talk, smiling a little. "I'd like to know her, actually. She seems like I could get along with her."

Thinking to herself, she moved to grab a sketch pad, sitting down on the couch in the corner and starting to draw. She nodded to Phoebe to sit next to her. "They'll get your shoes soon." Even if the shops were closed, they'd kill someone who was wearing them.

"Oh, it's of no issue," she said simply as she swept the dress beneath her and sat. "They certainly weren't something like Dior. Not what I can afford these days. Perhaps I should go back to the Louvre..."

She mused a moment, thinking how odd her mind would pick that word, of all things! "Artemis has fair hair, almond-shaped dark eyes like her aunt, and is of quite fair features. That is not to say she's not fearsome in her element," she leaned in to whisper. "For she certainly is." She leaned back again, flipping some hair over her shoulder. "I am so pleased to be out of Paris, you really may not understand, or you may."

"It's their fault they messed them up." Gaz nodded, taking those details to heart and immediately starting in on her eyes. "Do you not like it there? Or were you tehre for a long time and just got sick of it?"

"Oh, I travel the romantic countries throughout Europe during the summer. I tried backpacking across the land once, really not my thing. Though hostels can be quite lovely, some have spas!"

Phoebe wasn't gandering at Gaz's new ward, not in the least. Her granddaughter's picture was in her hands at the moment, and she could make of her what she willed in most all other regards. "I'm not sick of it the least, no. I worked at the Louvre up throughout Nazi Germany's various occupations there."

Gaz was focused on her work, but still able to listen. "Then why are you glad to be out?" It didn't make sense for her to not want to be somewhere she liked.

"I can't recall the last time I properly took an impromptu vacation," she supplied easily, leaning back against the frame of what she was sitting on, draping a mostly bare arm across it. "I do so love Paris, I quite do, having lived there for hundreds of years. It is a lively, wonderful town, with many places for organic foods and fine wine, though I generally travel to smaller towns for cheaper clothes."

She pulled a heavy-looking watch out of her purse, weighing it a moment. "This is a gift from a very dear friend, a David Yurman original—as in, he knows the man himself and had it made special for me. It's got stars for my daughter, a moon for her niece, and a small sun for her nephew. I rarely wear it, it's so valuable, but it is nice to have well thought out things on my person."

She looked over. "What about your wedding ring, do you wear one?"

She nodded in understanding, knowing that she would probably get sick of a place at some point, even if it was awesome. She did stop draying for a moment to look over at the watch. It was pretty, though Gaz didn't know how to verbalize it as such.

"I wear it sometimes. Usually I don't, because I think I'll lose it." She turned so her back was to Phoebe, moving her hair and showing her a scar on her skin. It was an intricate dragon design that had Teja's name woven into it. "I have this, though."

"Oh my sweet stars, didn't that hurt!?" she said immediately, moving more of her purple hair out of the way to properly look at it. "Oh, sweet sisters, I can't see how this wouldn't hurt...losing a ring, that can be quite awful, but a new one is always ready to be found, as much as it may take away from the sentimentality of it all."

Phoebe, after all, had preserved her wedding ring for thousands of years, even though they didn't always do that. The ring was sacred for the gods, however, and especially for her, she who had remained unwaveringly faithful for so long.

"Yeah, but I'll always have this with me. It hurt for a second or so, but it goes away pretty fast." She shrugged and turned back around. "The ring is more important to me, I didn't think he'd get me one. And he got me a matching ring for the video game I play." Teja had been very sweet, which had surprised her.

"That sounds very lovely indeed," she told her, simply beaming. "What is the video game, is it that World of Warcraft that plagues my student body so?"

"Yeah. Actually, I have ... well, one Halloween I turned into one of the characters from the game, and all of her powers, well, I still have them." She shrugged. "And a couple of the undead from it are here."

"The undead!?" that seemed to startle her more than the explanation of being turned into a video game character. Her hand went to her (impressive) chest in surprise. "How surprising! Whyever would you keep them around?"

"Josef is a mage, he summons me food." She didn't know how the food was tasty, since he didn't have a lower jaw and all, but it was okay. "He kind of leers at me, but pizza's worth it."

"You're okay with the undead having names, but not with the men around the house having them?" she asked, the two seemingly illogical contradictions to her. "That's rather odd, but I try to keep an open mind. I only eat pizza in Italy and New York City, mostly. I've never had another American pizza outside of that. Are his extraordinary?"

"The Gears are Dethklok's thing, not mine. The band set all of that up. I just fell into this place when I got brought here. His are really good, you want one?" Gaz stood up and murmured a few words in a strange language. Her voice took on a deeper tone, and for a moment, her eyes glowed red.

Then a gurgling, vaguely decomposing man with no lower jaw, tongue flapping wildly appeared before them. He apparently knew why Gaz sent for him and started to cast his own spells.

"Oh my dear Mother Gaia," she said as the man appeared, unused to such decaying beings. Her hand went to her mouth as she tried to get over the smell, and then he somehow summoned something, which overtook the decaying smell and replaced with pure deliciousness.

"Thank you, Monsieur Josef," she said immediately, completely curious as to the whole procedure.

Gaz nodded as he set down the pizza, sighing as he gestured and began to gurgle enthusiastically. "Thank you, no, I didn't do anything different to my hair." She murmured again in a language foreign to anyone but the most hardcore of WoW players and sent Josef elsewhere.

"Pervert."

"Oh, he seems pleasant enough," she said after a moment, taking the pizza and going to the nearest empty table, setting it down properly and pulling up two chairs. "I just now realized I'm famished, but I guarantee you I won't each much. French food and all, it comes in small packages."

She sent her a brilliant smile, looking into her purse a moment. "Oh...I'll just use my hands. Sir! Could you bring us some napkins and paper plates?" she called the closest Gear, who grunted, nodded, and took off to do so.

"Pizza was the only worthwhile thing eating where I'm from. Everything else was made out of napkins." It was weird, Gaz's tongue was loosened around her. She only had one other real friend in the world besides her husband, but Phoebe was proving to be a definite possibility for her second.

Made out of napkins, she found herself mouthing, mouthing words for the second time in one day. It wasn't too unusual for her, really, but still! Made of napkins, really!?

The Gear returned in record time, even bringing a plastic knife, which caused her to gasp and praise him for forethought, that which had saved many a soul and killed far too many. She gently placed one napkin over her chest, passing the paper plates between them.

"What kinds of things does he put on it? I'm more used to chicken and artichoke heart and spinach types of things on mine, to be honest."

Gaz nodded a little, but mostly wrinkled her nose. "Yeah, it was gross then and I'm sure it still is." She took a napkin for her hands, folding her pizza in half before starting to eat. Since it was pretty much the only thing she ate, she was talented at not dripping it on herself. "He made a plain one for you and a pepperoni one for me. When I was pregnant he made me a bunch of chicken ones." She shuddered in disdain.

"Both times I was pregnant...haa, I am not sure how my husband could handle me. I real b-word, I was."

She seemed to recall those days fondly as she used the knife to cut a few pieces in the shape of crackers and partook of them. She may not have been used to eating such things, thus putting them in a familiar form. Her manners, however, for fast food were impeccable. She sat up properly and pulled out her wet cloth wipes pack for when they were done, if that came anytime soon. "Constant cravings for seafood, which we knew were bad. There wasn't much we didn't know, really!"

Seeing as Phoebe and Koios were the pair of intellect, it was rather expected, wasn't it?

"I didn't notice a difference when I was pregnant." Nor had anyone else; Gaz was gruff and mean at the best of times. She wrinkled her nose at the mention of seafood. Since she'd only ever really eaten pizza or cereal, her palate was underdeveloped. "You have two kids? What did they do?"

"Koios and I had two daughters, Astoria first and then Leto," she supplied without issue. "Astoria was very in tune with the stars, and Leto was so beautiful that Zeus pursued her. They bore Artemis and Apollo."

Yes, she'll leave out what he and Poseidon did to Astoria. For now, at least, that is a story for another time.
