Warnings: I swear there will be no sex. They're out in public. With the kid. Swear.

The day was fairly warm, warm enough to enjoy their little adventure to the zoo. But Remy made sure that she bundled Sophie up, and the three of them headed out to the zoo. She wondered if Sophie had ever been to the zoo, what she'd seen and what she hadn't seen. Though she could talk, it wasn't like the kid could really talk about what had gone on in her past. That was for a later time, she supposed.

Getting into the zoo, she hm'd a bit, looking at Tony with a grin before looking down at Sophie in her stroller. The kid could walk, but she was two and they'd have to carry her most of the way without the stroller. "Okay kiddo.. do you want to see the monkey's first? Or the polar bears?" that seemed like a good place to start since they were the first ones you came to depending on which way you walked.

People were probably staring at them since he was sticking his hand in her pocket especially when her hand was already inside. "Yeah it happens." though of course as a doctor she knew that people didn't get the shakes from caffeine withdrawal until they were without it for at least several days. "I had.. coffee this morning?" she offered and sighed. "Okay so it's not caffeine.. my hand shakes sometimes.. that's it.."

Tony wasn't amused in the slightest at her fake attempt to pass this off as coffee was the root of the problem. And he definitely didn't give a shit if people were staring. Something was wrong with her, and this wasn't helping to calm him down at all. His brow shot up, "Oh, sometimes? How often is sometimes?"

Tony crouched down next to Sophie for a minute. "Now, honey. I know this might be hard for you, but do you remember if Mommy's hands ever did this?" and he shook his hand like he'd seen Remy's act. "Like this? Did they shake all the time?"

Oh lord, he was taking this all too seriously. Or maybe she just wasn't used to anyone taking this seriously, especially not her. "Once a month maybe? Sometimes longer then that.. what are you.. don't go asking.." but it was too late. He was already asking Sophie about things she shouldn't ever know.

Sophie looked up at Tony with big wide eyes, a little confused but then she nodded a little, "Uh huh.. an her legs too.." because she was matter of fact about it.

Remy swallowed slightly and rubbed her eyes. "Come on.. let's not do this here okay?"

If she knew him at all, she could read the expression in his eyes where there wasn't one on his face. Inside, he'd never felt so sick to his stomach. Tony nodded to Sophie, then looked up at Remy before standing up. "Go find your toys you want, sweetheart, but stay where we can see you." The store wasn't too big, but there'd be hell to pay if anyone fooled with his kid.

One hand wrapped around her wrist and pulled her hand out of her pocket so he could hold it, the trembling barely happening by now. His grip tightened as he swallowed hard. "Doctor tomorrow if I have to pick you up and fly you myself." He looked her dead in the eyes, swallowed hard, a mix of fear and seriousness in them before kissing her forehead. "Let's find that stuffed animal," he said as he wrapped and arm around her.

She hadn't meant to scare him, hell she hadn't meant to scare herself. It was easier not to be scared when other people weren't freaking out around you. But she knew the look, and knew that there wasn't really any way around him making her go. He really would pick her up and take her there against her will. That's what she got for falling in love with Tony Stark.

Her hand held onto his, glad that it had stopped shaking. Most of the time she barely noticed. She gave his hand a squeeze and nodded, "Yes sir.. but honest.. like we said, that could be years away and just because I have trembling doesn't mean I'm going to.. y'know.. I promise I'll be okay."

"But you have to do something about it now if you don't want to end up in a wheelchair or worse. I..just wish you wouldn't blow it off like it's nothing. It bothers me, okay?" Well more than bothered him, but he was trying not to make a scene. After this, he was going to pay a lot more attention to her hands and legs to see if he noticed it more than she was letting on about their occurances.

"Mommy! Mommy! Look, it's Daddy!" Sophie said as she ran o them, shaking a big brown monkey with long arms that flailed about. "You should get this because it's like Daddy and you like Daddy." and her little arms held it up for Remy.

"I know the signs and I know the symptoms. I dealt with it with my mom for years and years and years.. decades. I know what to look for to know if it's serious enough to go and get it.. looked out. If I find out I do have it.. then .. I dont know.." she was worried she'd have to quit her job, and then she would never get to do anything else. "It bothers me too.. I just.." never had had to answer to anyone else.

When Sophie came running over to them, she looked down and put on a bright smile. She didn't want to scare her daughter. "It is Daddy!" she said excitedly. "I do like Daddy.. too bad there's no bear-lions, or I'd get one of those.. I'll get this one then.." she took the monkey from her daughter and handed it over to Tony. "There you go.. my end of the bargain is done.." she looked back down at Sophie, "You all done cleaning out the whole store kiddo?"

Sophie grinned and clapped her hands while jumping up and down, pleased that she'd made Mommy smile with the monkey. "I want a penguin."

"Well, let's get your penguin then," he said as he took the monkey and stuffed it in his arms along with everything else he was planning to buy. For now, Tony wouldn't bring this up anymore, not until they could talk about it at home without scaring Sophie. But if she'd already witnessed the effects, she knew what was coming. She was the most prepared of the three of them, it seemed.

He headed up to the counter with everything and Sophie had run and grabbed a medium sized stuffed penguin and brought it up and pushed it on the counter. Afterwards, he picked her up and set her down on the counter, pulled out his wallet and handed his credit card to Sophie who then swiped it through the machine for him and gave it back. A tag team of spending money, definitely father and daughter.

It was terribly amusing to see Tony's arms filled with stuffed animals. And really she just wanted to not talk about it anymore. Which he seemed to understand, which was nice of him. She figured once they got home though she'd be bombarded again. She waited for them to be done, just looking at things while she waited. Sometimes her hand shook, but not for more then a second or so. She was just having an off day it seemed.

When they were done, she stuck the big bag of toys in the stroller since it as easier then carrying it and smiled at both of them. "All ready to go and see if we're going to need to build another bedroom just for all her toys?" she quipped.

Sophie held onto the penguin Tony had bought her, keeping it wrapped tightly in her arm as he carried her. He figured he needed to do that with Remy's hand acting up. He didn't want Sophie's weight to aggravate it and she end up dropping her. He wasn't sure how the disease worked, what made it worse or better. He'd have to research it when he got home.

"Pfft, she's probably got a playroom besides a bedroom. I haven't checked the rest of the house to see if anything else changed besides that one room." He lifted her up higher so she could rest her head on his shoulder. It'd been a long day for all of them, and he just wanted to get them home.

"I'm sure you're right.. she's probably got a couple of rooms to herself.." she lead the way out of the gift shop and down the little ramp to head back to the car. Once there, she went to put everything away in the back, making sure that they had everything and stowed the stroller away.

She figured he could manage getting Sophie into the car by himself, though she might have to check the car seat before they took off. "I think someone needs a nap.." since well she seemed to be dozing off in his arms.

"Yeah, I think I need to lie down when we get--oh you mean her. She's out cold. Too much excitement and climbing for her." He'd secured her in the seat with her little penguin next to her and made sure her head wouldn't roll around while he was driving. He didn't think the back of that SUV could be so full of crap, et there in his rearview mirror he could see the monkey sitting right on top of a bag.

When they'd gotten in the car and he'd started to drive off, he glanced over at Remy, "How's your hand now?"

She reached over and rubbed his back, "We'll take a nap when we get back.. don't you worry.." she got into the car then, not bothering to check to make sure that he'd put Sophie in right. She had to trust him sometime right? Well she did trust him. Really.

Once they had taken off she leaned back in the seat and held up her hand, "It's fine.. no more shaking.." it had stopped a couple of moments ago. "Promise.. though I guess I could use a nap too when we get home."

Tony wrapped his hand around hers and brought it to his lips, kissing it. "I just want you to take care of yourself. Don't pretend that if you ignore this, it won't happen." He'd had moments where he was afraid for the people he cared about, even his own life, but this had scared him the most. Because he knew what was in store if something wasn't done.

"Maybe we just did too much today. Stressed it or something." They could lie down while Sophie napped and go to dinner when she woke up.

"Okay okay," she conceded. "I won't ignore it and pretend it's not there. I'll figure out what's going on. I swear." she knew that it scared him, possibly more then it even scared herself. And she never wanted to scare Tony. And she definitely didn't want to leave either of them behind.

Remy nodded slightly, "Yeah.. we haven't been out of the house in that long.." she smirked a bit. "Definitely a nap.." she was feeling pretty tired.

"Thank you," he said, kissing her hand again and laying their joined ones on his leg while he drove. Tony had no idea how he'd react if he lost her or Sophie. Probably drink himself into oblivion or go on a rampage, maybe even both.

"That and having a kid wears anyone out, even me. Give me a 50 ton tank and Apocalypse ad I can handle it. Give me a two year old with more energy than God, and I'm down for the count." Either he was feeling his age or a kid reall did just wear you out.

She smirked slightly, "Yeah tell me about it.. I don't know how kids have that much energy ever..but then I'm used to dealing with sick people all the time.." she gave his leg a little squeeze and a small smile. She leaned over and put her head down on his shoulder as they got the rest of the way back to the Stark mansion.

Once they got there, she got out of the car and went around to the back to get Sophie out of her car seat. "You can get the big bag of stuff right?" she gave him a cheery look and headed inside.

"I'm used to deal with monsters while wearing my suit, so even if I'm tired and hurt, I can still keep going. The pro of having that thing most of the time." He tilted his head and kissed the top of hers before wrapping his arm around her shoulder.

"Yeah, I got it," he said, getting out and grabbing all of the stuff out of the trunk. Jesus, they'd bought a lot. When he finally made it up the stairs, he was greeted by a maid and butler, whom he handed the stuff over to and instructed them to take the DVDs and stuff to her playroom and he'd take the stuffed animals on up himself.

"You're lucky.. a couple of double shifts and I'm down for the count. You're probably in for a rude awakening with that whole thing.. I mean I might have to be gone alot.." she shrugged a little.

Carrying Sophie into the house, she turned to him and said in a small voice, "I'll go put her down.." she took the little girl up to her room and then put her down in her bed, kissed her hair and tucked her in and then headed back down to find Tony.

"I'm sure I'll get by somehow. Maybe they make a patch for it, or I'll pop into the hospital. Get my fix that way. They do have closets for making out in, don't they?" He figured he'd be visiting anyway, since Sophie would probably want to see Remy as much as him. Plus, Tony needed to find out about his heart and getting it taken care of.

He took the stuffed animals and put them on the table in Sophie's room then headed into their room, Remy's monkey in hand, and took off his jacket and shoes. He put the monkey over on her pillow, smirking at how it sat lopsided because of the arms. It'd been a really good day, best one he'd had in a long time.

She gave a laugh, "Yeah.. there's a closet for making out.. and I'll have my own.. well I think.. my own office so we can just make out in there.." she waggled her eyebrows at him. She followed him into the their room and started to undress.

"Mmm.. nap.. right?" she wasn't even sure she could get all the way undressed. But she managed to get her clothes off and then climbed up into the bed, grabbing a hold of her monkey.

He really shouldn't start talking about sex, it was liable to get her going and she wanted a nap. "I'm sure it is.. I've walked in on some people fucking on a desk.. it was.. well horrifying.. but y'know in a hot way.." she put her head down on the pillow. "It's cute.. you made me buy it.. and of course I'm going to need you. Not having sex with a stuffed monkey. But hey, if my hand shakes alot, you can get off without me having to do a lot of work.."

"So, you're keeping me for the sex? Yeah, I'm okay with that," he said in that flat, even tone. Tony took the monkey in his hand and turned it over, just watching the arms flail as he propped his head up with his other hand. "That's not funny. Shaking like you're having a seizure isn't sexy." He took the monkey and sat it on her hip, making its head move like it was looking at her. THen, he made it walk up the length of her body and sit, its face leaning in to hers. "So you walked in on them. Did you stay to watch?"

"Yup.. for the sex.. and the money.. I'm a golddigger, didn't you know that?" she curled up on her side, and then shrugged a shoulder. "Come on it's a little funny.. hey if my whole body shakes then you've really got it made.." she watched him play with the monkey, an eyebrow raising, wondering what the hell he was doing. "No.. I was too surprised to think about that.. when my brain kicked in to what was happening and then I flailed and left."
