Who: Johanna & Calliope
Where: New York
When: Now-ish
What: Mother-daughter outing.
Warnings: Yes, probably of the bloody kind.

Johanna and Calliope had decided that they really ought to spend some time together, and after making sure that Gatlin could look after himself for a few hours, Johanna whisked herself away to New York to meet with her mother. She was wearing pants for once, sleek, well-pressed slacks, and a buttondown blouse to go with, she had a blazer draped over her arm, since it wasn't quite cold enough out to require it, and she wouldn't feel the cold anyway, but sometimes she liked pretending to fit in.

She squared her shoulders as she strode through the park, heading for the corner cafe where she'd arranged to meet her mother. Even though it was a city she only barely knew, she swept through the place like she owned it, heels clicking smartly on the pavement. It wasn't that she was ignoring the people around her, or that he was oblivious, she was paying more attention than any of them were, fox in the henhouse, so to speak.

"You are very young, but I have no doubt that you'll live to my age." She folded up her newspaper, standing and smoothing out her tight skirt. "Walk with me? I need to get supper for myself."
