Who: Cassidy Turner, Ares, and open to all the people that they recruited.
What: Rescuing some people, killing some others
Where: North Korea, working their way to Bad Guy Lair #1
When: Tonight
Warnings: Blood, guts, gore, swearing, you know. The usual stuff.

Cassidy had never quite focused so intently on rescue and destroy as he did that day. He was glad that he waited until today, although he felt only slightly upset that he slept for a couple hours to clear the panic. Once everyone was contacted, he was on his way to North Korea to go defer to one god he generally feared - Ares. He held on to Henn and Soren's handa before he made his way to the exact location Ares had said to meet, and he crossed his arms, looking around him.

All his contacts of iffy repute were there. Sadako, Cthluhu, the eccentric Dr. Steel... And they were all there because of him. Cassidy himself looked simply amateur in comparison, though he was armed to the teeth. Dean had let him borrow several guns, and he had his throwing knives and kukri in easy reach. His hair was in a ponytail and he was wearing his sunglasses to hide the fact that he'd had all of an hour or two of sleep in the past twenty-four. Cass nodded to Ares once he could see him.

"If you don't mind my opinion, Ares sir, We could work off of what Lord Cthluhu can find in their mind. Work up from the streetwalking scum all the way to the top. Many of you are able to kill with your minds alone, which means that if you can hear their thoughts," Cass turned slightly to Sadako, "You should pick their mind for information. The closer we get to the base, the faster this will go, theorhetically. Once we find the base... Well, lucky us, lucky Mel, unlucky them."

Sadako nodded to Cassidy. "I'll be sure to simply pacify a few instead of killing them, so that we may glean information." She looked at Cassidy, then at Ares, and then back to Cassidy. He unnerves me as well.

Ares stood and looked at the people that had gathered in his compound. They were a capable bunch and more than likely a winning team. He simply ignored the fact that Dite was standing by the door listening.

When Cassidy spoke, Ares listened. He was the one that had gathered the troops and made an excellent Lieutenant. He nodded. "I agree. We need to find them and find them quickly. Once we find where they are hiding her, it should be simple invade and kill. They do not have the strength that we do."

Love had many aspects, and one of them was decidedly warlike. She'd yet to have the actual "You're not going" "Yes I am" discussion with Ares, the same one they had every time there was a battle. Perhaps for the sake of novelty, they'd be able to skip it this time - it wasn't like the ending ever changed.

She leaned against the far wall as she watched the people gathering, nodding a bit as she listened to the young man explain his proposed strategy. He was young, but courageous, with a good heart. And apparently had a good head on his shoulders.

Henn had come along with Cass and Soren, wearing the armored bodice, tunic and pants that her mother'd had commissioned for her all those years ago and that she'd only used as costume before. But she trusted it to work, it was Guild-Grade after all. She was armed in a similar manner as well, all blades however, no firearms, and her grandfather's staff (currently compacted) in it's case against the small of her back.

Cassidy nodded to both Ares and Sadako, then bowed slightly to Aphrodite. "I propose that the stronger forces go ahead first, take the lead - Ares, Cthluhu, Sadako, flanked by Steel's Killbots. The back of the line should be taken up by people with no powers at all, but firepower. Dean, Bela, Doctor Steel, and myself. Those of you who have magic or are mutants, you should stay between the Gods and Godlike, and the humans with weapons. Should anyone get harmed, Sadako is a capable healer." He stood and turned to the group and nodded. "I believe we can handle a few religious zealots. I doubt God had anything to do with this, and I entirely doubt Jesus would approve. Just remember, they want some of you dead just because of your abilities. Get them before they get you."

He turned and stood between Henn and Soren and crossed his arms. "Thank you all for being here. Melpomene is obviously a priority, but anyone else we can rescue as well would be appreciative of our abilities. The more we rescue, the better off we'll be."

Soren knew he was dramatically underdressed for the occasion, but he didn't really need a weapon. He already had spells, and he figured he'd stand back behind everybody; he did his best damage from a distance anyway. Now that they were an organized group, his fear had ebbed somewhat, and he was mostly just pissed off and ready to light some people on fire. Mel didn't deserve what she'd gotten. Nobody did.

"They will regret the day they laid finger on my family."

Cassidy made an excellent plan and one he could find no fault with. Nodding, he moved to clasp a hand firmly on the shoulder of Cassidy. "You are a loyal friend with an intelligent and working mind. You will do excellent on the battle field. We will all do excellent tonight."

He shot a quizzical look at Henn before finally turning to look at Aphrodite, "You will be there by my side, however, if Sadako is busy killing, you can transport those with wounds and the captives we find back here, yes?"

Cthulhu, for his part, was enraptured with things the others probably couldn't see. That the humans in the group wouldn't want to see. He was slowly bringing aspects of his true form into synchronized harmony with a plane just outside the physical. He couldn't actually manifest anything other than his human form here, and he couldn't pull the whole of his true form onto the plane nearest the physical, but aspects of it could be brought into harmony with it. Anyone that could look in on that particular plane would see, in Cthulhu's place, a 12 foot tall slimy green humanoid, with a human face, five fingered claws and three toed talons. What first appeared to be swept back hair was in fact a set of four tremendously long, prehensile tentacles, with an identical set emerging from his back.

This had nothing to do with tearing information out of people. He could and would do that right away. This was just for his personal amusement. Once they were finished with the humans, he would push their consciousnesses onto the next plane. What he would do after that...was better left unsaid.

He clapped suddenly. "This is a wise plan! I am ready."

Aphrodite lifted a brow slightly before nodding. He offered no argument - she was impressed. With a slow smile she closed her eyes, her aspect changing quickly to Aphrodite Areia, hair pulling itself back as lightweight armor found itself over her gown.

"Unless they're in immediate need of healing, I can bring them here to be sorted once your through."

Cassidy put his opposite hand on Ares' shoulder and nodded, "Thank you, Ares, sir." At Ares' slight confusion with Henn, he clarified, "She's the daughter of a skilled assassin, and she's my wife. She is capable, and can get the captives to safety once we find them with no hassle. She's a strong ally, sir."

At Cthluhu's word, he smiled a bit darkly. "Let's get out of here and start this shit. On your word, Ares."

"If you are sure you want your woman in the line of fire, so be it." He shot a look at Dite, "I have no choice."

When Cthulhu spoke, Ares laughed, a loud, booming, room shaking laugh. "I do like you!"

The grin on his face turned feral and with a wave of his hand, they found themselves on the far end of a street near where Melpomene was taken. There were Pacifiers all along the street some yelling at mutants, some fighting them.

"Take them DOWN!"

Henn had browarched coolly at Ares in return for the puzzled look. She was wary of him, sure, that was just a natural reaction, but she wasn't scared of him, and more than that the grim determination of the crowd as a whole was bolstering her likely more than it should, since she was working on shutting down the constant open pull of her power, not wanting to get too caught up in the mob mentality.

Her tone was level when she spoke, "I can do worse than kill them. The ones that deserve it, anyway." And she could, stripping someone of the ability to feel any emotion was a fate much worse than death as far as she was concerned.

Cassidy got into place behind Soren and Henn, turning out to the back of their small crowd and nodded at Ares' command. He picked out one firearm - a simple .45 handgun and trained it on whoever wasn't falling dead already. He thought to both Cthulhu and Sadako both, pointedly addressing them mentally Don't forget to inform us all of any important information so we can move as a group, guys. Just Cthluhu - please do whisper it. My head likes being safely on my neck.

He shot one recruit in the head as they screamed and came towards their small troop.

Sadako smoothed out her dress as they walked, barely moving as she walked toward the Purifiers. She raised an eyebrow as she promptly picked out thoughts regarding who was a leader and who was a peon. I'll disable those in charge. They're likely the only ones who know anything. Her thoughts went into the minds of all who could receive information that way, and soon six people fell to the ground mid-run. She was also careful to make sure she was aware of any sustained injuries. As two other recruits started to run toward them, guns drawn, they suddenly started to bleed from the eyes and ears before falling.

As the crowd ran toward them, Ares held out his hand and materialized his massive sword just in time to slice it down through a male holding fliers. Blood splattered along the line of his chest and he grinned as he sliced upwards this time effectively cutting the female in half.

Oh this was excellent fun.

Very well. Having answered Cass, Cthulhu diverted his attention to the matter at hand. He very calmly approached one Purifier. The man looked up, ready to spout some garbage, and then his eyes widened as wide as they could and he stumbled back, screaming. The scream suddenly turned a few frequencies higher as Cthulhu's power took hold of his vibratory functions, and the sudden screech caused the Purifier's own eyes to pop.

That was okay. He didn't need eyes. The next second, the top of the man's skull was sailing through several cars, and his brain was being ripped apart. To Cthulhu's eyes, and only Cthulhu's, pieces of information were drifting out of it, images, words, and sounds. He was looking specifically for something about a location.

Finding nothing, he gripped each of the man's limbs with his tentacles and ripped, sending blood droplets into the air. The body now no longer interesting, he dropped it, but froze the droplets, and with a tiny sliver of power they lengthened and became metal spikes. These metal spikes were then propelled, at a speed usually only seen from major league baseball pitchers. As the mayhem spread, he found himself laughing hysterically, thrilled at the amusement this was providing.

Soren was glad for once that he was able to take up the rear. He cast Bio on a few of the people in the back that would take longer to approach them, knowing the poison would course through them for a longer period of time. Those in the front that weren't targets for information, he froze with Blizzard spells. He didn't want to give them a chance to even fire their weapon, so staying their hands while killing them seemed to be the way to go. His eyes were drawn, his mouth a tight line.

Cass kept an eye out for stragglers, making sure only to target those who seemed intent on harming their group, shooting with decent marksmanship as he walked backwards, careful not to trip over the bodies and gore. He looked over to Dean and made sure he was doing well. "You good, big guy?" Asked Cass as he kept his eye on those not in his group.

She carried a sword slung at her waist but she didn't bother to draw it, instead standing behind Ares as he fought, as always standing behind her love and driving away the spirits of death. Years of practice had her attuned to him in battle, however, leaving her to focus her attention on the fanatics. She'd long ago lost patience with zealots.

Careful only to affect their targets, she played with their emotions, pulling from them the passion they had for their bigotry and whenever it was it stemmed from. Love really did make the world go round, and without it, those affected lacked the energy to offer much of a fight back.

Dean had just finished emptying a .45 and reholstering it before taking a .50 out of his waistband. "I'm good. Don't even need to reload yet. Though if I had to go through a metal detector, I'd be straight fucked." He shot someone in the throat that had gotten too close to the group, chuckling at the recoil. "God, I forgot these babies kick hard." Behind his demeanor, he was a bit sad; werewolves and vampires and wendigos and demons were one thing, but killing humans had never really given Dean any joy. But it needed to be done.

Henn was not a happy camper, and she would probably need a month-long trip to Disneyland to recover from this. But she wasn't thinking about that at the moment, it was easy enough to read the difference between those who meant actual harm and those who were just caught up in the pull of it.

Anyone close enough could probably hear her growling, she made quick work of one who got too close, thinking that stabbing her seemed like a fun and exciting thing to do. A broken arm and a jolt of pure unadulterated fear were enough to convince him otherwise.

Cassidy could feel Henn's emotions boiling over and it made him have to check himself. He sent her a soothing sensation as best he could, knowing they had a direct line. He made sure they were all clear before he looked over his shoulder at Soren. "You good?" He asked to both of them, turning once he knew they had less threats, to see what the stronger folks were doing.
"Any leads?"

Sadako had been toying with one of the leaders, stopping his heart and restarting it over and over for a few moments. The fear helped propel buried thoughts to screaming clarity, and Sadako smiled. Cassidy. She's in a warehouse. She gave him the information about the specific location, including mental images and a bit of information about the interior before going back to toying with the informant.

As she did so, she healed a bullet wound she'd taken to the shoulder, smiling sweetly at the shooter.

"Fine," Soren mumbled. He'd cast Death for the first time in a long time since he'd learned it. His mother had taught him using wolves, vicious animals that would have bitten him anyway. He'd never used it on a human before. They were fine for fifteen seconds, then suddenly a dark, cloying mist hovered over their heads before taking an almost human form. They dropped dead then, and Soren didn't want to know what happened to them specifically.

Cass didn't much care for the sudden and immediate knowledge of the place, but he soon took up a more central position, ultimately yelling out the directions to the warehouse, the coordinates specifically, so Ares could hear him over the mayhem.

"Get us there." He told Ares, reloading his gun in the meanwhile.
