WHO: Aphrodite, Ares, and Bunny Munro Jr.
WHAT: Bunny is moving in with the gods...
WHERE: Teague's place, then the HOUSE OF THE GODS!!!1!11!

Bunny is sitting outside on the steps of Teague's house, waiting. Everything he owns is in his lap or on his body: a new winter coat, one new outfit under it, a change of clothes in a bag, and an encyclopedia that will never really replace the one his mother gave him that was destroyed in the car crash that killed his father not two weeks ago, but it serves its purpose as distraction and escape.
He's nervous. It shows in how he taps his feet all over the place as he sits and waits. He reads his encyclopedia to distract himself from the fear that keeps catching in his throat. He's going to live somewhere new. He likes Teague and Bren but he knows they can't keep him. He likes Lilo a lot but he knows -- or hopes -- he'll see her at school, like he'll see CeeVee and Gabriel and maybe Gabriel's friend Henry. In the past month, his life has been turned so many ways inside out and upside down it's a wonder he still remembers his own name, he thinks. He's lost both his parents. He's found a few friends he can't live with or stay with. And now he's going to go live with gods. Real gods. Gods can be as real as ghosts, he reasons, and that's almost a comfort to him, because his mom and dad are ghosts now.

Aphrodite didn't have far to look as she searched Ares out in their home - she'd known him since he was born, after all, and by now knew his habits well enough - there were only a few places she needed to look, and she got it right on the first try. With a light knock on the door, she stepped into his study, offering a small smile.
"Hey, love. Can we talk?"
She half hoped he'd say no... it was not a discussion she wanted to have. She finally realized what it meant to have butterflies in one's stomach... and she didn't even bother trying to explain away the feeling by blaming it on the baby.

Aphrodite had left the note as promised for Robbie's mother, though it wasn't nearly so kind as he might have expected, and scooped the child up. With a smile, she placed her hand lightly over his eyes, and transported them both back to the complex in North Korea, letting her hand drop away so he could take in the opulent surroundings. "Home sweet home, cupcake... let's see if Ares is home, and you can meet him... he's going to adore you."

Ares knocked on Dite's dressing room door and waited for her to let him in. The single red rose in his hand gave off a sweet fragrance. He was dressed in a black tuxedo, with the full on cummerbund and bowtie.

With her ex-wife gone, and her new 'business' venture underway, The Devil had actually had her hands full. Not too full though that she didn't want company. She most certainly did. And she was certainly looking forward to seeing Ares yet again. He was one of her more favorite people to see, and more importantly have over for lots of fun. There were few people up for her kind of fun.
So she waited actually patiently for him to arrive, sipping wine while she did. |
