Who: Cassidy Turner, Ares, and open to all the people that they recruited.
What: Rescuing some people, killing some others
Where: North Korea, working their way to Bad Guy Lair #1
When: Tonight
Warnings: Blood, guts, gore, swearing, you know. The usual stuff.

Cassidy had never quite focused so intently on rescue and destroy as he did that day. He was glad that he waited until today, although he felt only slightly upset that he slept for a couple hours to clear the panic. Once everyone was contacted, he was on his way to North Korea to go defer to one god he generally feared - Ares. He held on to Henn and Soren's handa before he made his way to the exact location Ares had said to meet, and he crossed his arms, looking around him.

All his contacts of iffy repute were there. Sadako, Cthluhu, the eccentric Dr. Steel... And they were all there because of him. Cassidy himself looked simply amateur in comparison, though he was armed to the teeth. Dean had let him borrow several guns, and he had his throwing knives and kukri in easy reach. His hair was in a ponytail and he was wearing his sunglasses to hide the fact that he'd had all of an hour or two of sleep in the past twenty-four. Cass nodded to Ares once he could see him.

"If you don't mind my opinion, Ares sir, We could work off of what Lord Cthluhu can find in their mind. Work up from the streetwalking scum all the way to the top. Many of you are able to kill with your minds alone, which means that if you can hear their thoughts," Cass turned slightly to Sadako, "You should pick their mind for information. The closer we get to the base, the faster this will go, theorhetically. Once we find the base... Well, lucky us, lucky Mel, unlucky them."

She took note of what Cassidy was yelling, diverting her attention to Ares to makes sure he had heard - if he hadn't, it would not be the first time he'd gotten caught up in mayhem. A central location generally indicated a homebase of sorts, which no doubt would require fighting on a closer level. As she drew her sword in preparation, She took the love she'd pulled from the leaders and pushed it back onto the bystanders caught up in the mob mentality, flooding them with love for their fellow man. All of their fellow men.

There was nothing more satisfying then jamming a sword into the neck of someone right as they spouted off shit you didn't want to hear and knew was wrong. Ares twisted the sword sideways and up, effectively popping the gentleman's head straight off, when he heard Cassidy's directions.

With a crazed look in his eyes, he jammed his sword into the ground, causing the earth to shake and break into a wide gap, just as he transported his team to the location. They weren't there to see the remainder of the Purifiers fall to their deaths.

He made sure to take them to a place where they wouldn't be noticed too quickly and when they arrived, he turned to look at them all.

"You are all warriors I would have at my side throughout any battle."

Henn rolled her shoulders as they were transported, already feeling tension gathering just below her shoulderblades, it was where she usually kept it, but she wasn't going to let it slow her down any.

She was speckled with blood and was fairly certain that none of it was her own, she smiled, just a little, at Ares' statement, "Mom'll be glad to hear it, tired of me being the first pacifist in the family."

Cassidy straightened his spine when Ares looked at him, almost out of second nature. "I echo that same statement, and thank you, Ares. Now, the way to the prisoners that they took is tricky. It's guarded by several... of our own, or similar. The way there is laced with booby traps, but I can't be sure where and to what caliber, because what Sadako got from the guy and gave to me... it's murky. Keep aware, ladies and gentlemen. Be careful."

He was proud to be in with the group that he was. They worked well together as a team. He took a deep breath and sighed it out, squeezing Henn on the shoulder, looking up at Soren with a nod. "Once we get this done, I'm buying everyone here a drink. And Sadako, you're getting a sundae maker."

"So they hate those with any sort of power or talent, but see nothing wrong with using it against us? Hypocrisy and zealotry, always a delightful mix." She smiled wryly, not at all surprised. Glancing down, she wiped a nonexistent spot off her skirt, glad to see gore and blood still didn't dare get to close.

Sadako bounced a little bit at the idea of a sundae maker before double checking everyone for injuries. She was pleased there were a number that couldn't get hurt at all, and of those who could, they'd been skilled enough not to sustain injury. She'd taken a bullet in the shoulder, but that had mostly made her laugh.

Soren blinked, feeling sort of amused that he felt a little warm and fuzzy at something Ares had said before nodding and smiling weakly at both Soren and Henn.

While Dite sparkled, Ares was dull with blood. Even his face was splashed with it. Just the way he liked it.

"Booby traps, huh? Excellent. Let's go." He turned and walked between a pair of trees that had blocked their arrival from any spying eyes.

"Remember. Let me and the other immortals go first. Let those booby traps fall on me first. I need a refresher anyway." As soon as he cleared the trees, several sentry guards rushed towards him, and were easily dispatched. Reaching the doors, he burst in and with absolute no terror, marched into the building.

The occupants were not amused and quickly swarmed.

Staying at the back, Cass picked off the occasional guard that had been called in as backup, keeping his gun trained and his mind alert. Ares and the other immortals were able to fend for themselves at the forefront. Taking that breather let his body recoil from the initial adrenaline rush and let him fully perk up once more. He stayed at Dean's side, taking one small section of the back end of things. "Left, straight, second down the hall," He yelled to Ares, giving him the direction to the prisoner's room. "Be careful, something electric."

He growled when his clip ran out of bullets and he switched to the second handgun. It kicked more, but had a better alignment. He was able to shoot more accurately but less often.

Dean looked to make sure Cass was keeping up, having since switched to his beloved sawed-off. He was careful to let the immortal people tackle being electrocuted before him, standing back a little bit even though he hated that.

There was a half-cracked cackle from Henn at the electricity, of course she let the immortals take the brunt of it, but she sapped off enough of it for herself, she needed the boost. Sometimes being an energytarian came in handy, and as often as she said that she hated pulling on pure electric, she wanted it right then.

She rounded on one of the scourge who got too close, a quick jab and a sharp twist with a knife between the ribs dispatched him easily enough, though Henn grimaced at the splash of blood across her hand.

And he wondered why she insisted on following him into battle, even after a few millennium? She watched only a moment as he blithely walked into a building full of people who's happily slay him, and quickly followed, sword held loosely in her hand. It was harder to work when moving through the place like this, more of her attention on the active attackers, though what passions she could dispel or replace with love of the agape variety.

As they rounded a corner she heard a rustling sound, a quick glance upward offering the view of two winged men coming towards them. "Ares. Up..."

The warning given, she caught sight of metal out of the corner of her eye, and she pirouetted slightly, blade sliding right into the throat of a goon who was aiming at the War God's back.

Following Cassidy's directions, Ares sliced through several men that clearly had no idea who they were dealing with, then caught the full brunt of the electrical shock. It caused him to jitter but his body absorbed it fairly quickly and he moved on.

"Please tell me that's not all they've got!"

At Dite's call, Ares looked up and shooting up a hand, he sent two large fireballs spitting out at the winged men. One dodged, the other...did not. Screams and feathers rained down on them. He lost track of the other one as he began bursting through doors, allowing prisoners out.

He hit the second door and instead of a prisoner, he was hit by bevy of knives straight in the shoulder.

"SON OF A BITCH!" He yanked them out quickly, ichor running down his arm.

Soren looked up, following everyone else's eyes and gasped, startled for a moment before sending bolts of shadow toward them. They'd sting and weaken them substantially but not kill them; he figured since everyone was already firing at them, he should save his strength in case they needed him to cast something bigger.

Cass was about to comment that no, that wasn't all they had, when a charred hunk of winged man meat dropped onto his shoulder and made him scuffle into the electric area for half a second. That wasn't pleasant, but he had similar (at least in his mind) jolts from fucking around with circuit boards. He brushed the bloody hunk of meat off his shoulder and shook his head to gain his bearings, and followed Ares, back turned to him as he tried to keep shooting. "Fuck, there's too many," he growled as he tried to concentrate and pick off as many soldiers as possible. He couldn't see where the other winged man had gone.

Sadako healed Cassidy's wound from the electric current before dulling any pain he'd felt. Looking ahead, she let her eyes scan the crowd one by one, rewriting their DNA with her mind to give them a certain irreversable and immediately fatal coronary defect. She watched as a row of five men swooned all at once before moving onto the next.

Henn, for her part, was ignoring the wingmen in favor of focusing her attention on the reinforcements ahead, having started growling again, low in her chest, probably utterly unaware of the sound, she'd decided to stick with fear. Fear was good, fear was easy, it was a nice, clear, even a sharp emotion, one that was easy to latch onto and pull to the forefront, one that was easy to expand upon without much effort.

This lot was already afraid, but Henn kept pushing, swelling that fear to stark terror, the kind that caused joints to lock, reactions to jumble and in at least one case, hearts to explode from the adrenaline dump.

Ares' yell had her attention, and she cast a sharp glance in his direction, taking precious seconds to ascertain he was ok. "Oh, it's not your sword arm..."

Back to the wall she moved forward, teleporting the prisoners released straight back to one of the halls in North Korea - if they were well enough to stream out of the rooms, they'd be fine until they returned. Her sword was out to swing at the next wave of attackers, blinking as five of them in front of her just... dropped dead. That was rather convenient.

Yes, he was fine. It just hurt like a motherfucking bitch. He ripped the knife flinging contraption down off the wall and jammed it into one of the on-comings mouths. He broke the neck of a few more as he kicked in several more doors.

Finally, the last door was in front of him. He rammed a shoulder into it and in a room lined with purple lights sat Melpomene, huddled in a corner, looking beat up, bruised and something like a kicked puppy. Ares moved forward and picked her up gently, hissing a bit as it hurt his shoulder. Turning, he moved to leave, just in time to see the winged man land outside the door.

She heard the voices outside, but they all ran together with the ones she'd been hearing since she'd awoken in the room. As the door opened she burrowed tighter into the corner, as if if she made herself small enough, they'd forget she was there. She could already hear the questions, hear the sneers.... "I'm not a mutant. Leave me alone. please, just..."

She trailed off as Ares picked her up, a confused whimper escaping her lips... she wasn't sure if she was hallucinating or not. Cringing, she turned her head into his shoulder, her hand lifting to cover her ear... the sound just wouldn't go away.

Cassidy was just about to follow the war god into the room when something big and white and downy blocked his path. He stopped. It was almost as if his heart had leaped into his throat and started pounding out a primal pattern. In any situation other than this, he would have been reminded of a drum pattern that his uncle's husband wrote.
At this point, all he could do was growl loudly and pull out his long, arced blade, slashing down onto the wing in front of him. "Out of the way!" He snarled, likely unaware he'd said anything at all. All that had fueled him for the past seven hours had been adrenaline and want to see Melpomene safe.

"Someone fucking kill this flying twat!" He said, knowing that all he was doing was cutting off hunks of wing.

He was shoved aside by the winged man and had a gun trained on him, and his eyes went wide.

Soren heard Cass' cry and looked up in time to see the winged person flying toward his husband again. When the bastard shoved Cass, that was all it took for Soren to scream and cast a fire spell that centered directly at the creature. He followed it up with Ultima, a spell that would extinguish the fire - and unfortunately for everyone around, explode the winged man.

He didn't see that one of the fearful recruits had gotten his balls back and doubled backward, gun trained on his shoulder. Being shot hurt more than he'd thought it would. He gave a faint hiss of surprise.

Henn had been too far away to help Cass, something she'd kick herself for later, but she was near enough to help Soren, lashing out with an elbow to the gunman's arm, feeling bone snap under the force of the blow, twisting his arm a moment later, slamming him against the nearest wall, "it's not nice to shoot people." Was the completely calm statement as she started peeling away not just emotions, but energy as well.

People often asked if being an energytarian was like being a vampire, and she always answered 'sort of'. This was one of the times that it was. It was only a moment more before she let the man drop, sucked dry, more or less.

Soren's wound was easy enough to heal. Sadako moved to check to see that the bullet wasn't still in his shoulder, and once she was satisfied that it had gone through, healed him within moments. She smiled as the blond murmured his thanks, and gave him a brief hug.

It could be that the charred gore of the exploding choir member actually didn't dare land on her like she tended to claim, or it might have been that she really was that quick to dspel any sort of dirt from herself - one way or the other, Aphrodite managed to still look impeccable as the fighting seemed to come to a head. The gunshot so close had her attention, and she gave Henn the chance to finish what she was doing before she transported the whole party back to North Korea with a thought - they'd done what they went for, and someone else could take care of the rest.
