Where: a coffee shop
When: in the evening.

Jean slowly drifted over the area that she was to meet Nathan in, just taking in the scenery, at first. It was a good world, she'd decided, and one she would be glad to make her home in.

She touched down a few minutes before she was due to meet Nate, and took a seat at one of the tables, arranging her skirt so that it let a little airflow blow around her calves. A long dress hadn't been the best outfit choice for a place so close to the equator, but she'd loved it when she saw it.

That's great. I can't wait to see where you live. I'm apparently living in Milan. It's pretty neat. I love the weather, and Italian food is great.

She smiled brightly. I don't think I've been this happy in ages.

She snickered. Thank you, dear. And I've met plenty of people, but not how you mean it. I'm still getting used to being me again, I'm not in the mood to begin a relationship. I mean, this is the first time I've been corporeal, not crazy, and not married in years. As much as I loved Scott, I'm in no rush to start that again just yet.

There was a certain amount of wistfulness in her tone. I don't know how I feel about him not being here. Relief, I suppose. It's much easier to be over someone when you're randomly floating through space.

She is... she is all that, and more.

His mind filled with images of her, all tinged with his feeling for the woman. Frustration, comradeship, and a slowly building love, plus lust. a wide array of experiences and pictures of Dom came through.

You have to take the good with the bad. I had a wonderful life on the previous Earth, despite its pitfalls. I wouldn't change any of it.

Except maybe she'd have died less.

You deserve happiness too. It's so incredible to see you smiling so openly.

Her eyes were fond and full of joy.

She tapped her paper cup against his, and sipped her coffee.
