Jean slowly drifted over the area that she was to meet Nathan in, just taking in the scenery, at first. It was a good world, she'd decided, and one she would be glad to make her home in.

She touched down a few minutes before she was due to meet Nate, and took a seat at one of the tables, arranging her skirt so that it let a little airflow blow around her calves. A long dress hadn't been the best outfit choice for a place so close to the equator, but she'd loved it when she saw it.

	It has been. I don't even know how long. She kissed his cheek and sat again, taking a sip of her tea. I'm still settling in, but it's so nice to have room to myself, for once. 	I can handle oddness. I don't think I could handle being hated for no reason again. It had made becoming the Dark Phoenix so seductively easy, knowing that even if she was good and a hero, the world at large would see her as a threat for even existing. What's Emma's school like? 	He nodded at her and raised his coffee, sipping it. Things are easier here, in that the general public knows ome of us exist, but not much about us... yet. He nodded.
