He was worried about Ganieda, worried about her living situation, worried about her mom, and worried that it would go really wrong, really fast. He wanted to protect her, even as he did not know how, and he feared that if anything happened, it would be when he was not around. And that would kill him.

He raced down the roads, using back streets, moving as fast as he could. He had a baseball bat in the backseat, in easy reach, and he was ready, if fearful, should something happen. God, he wished he knew how to help her, how to make this right.

What the hell did he, a young guy from Nowheresville, know about helping people?

Nothing, maybe, but he knew he had to try.

As he turned down her street, he slid the lights down, and slowed to a saner speed, eyes on her building and everything around him, tense, and worried.

The tenderness with which he was looking at her made her want to cry again, but she smiled slightly at him, because she also felt terribly happy. She put a hand on his waist and took a deep breath, letting her eyes close.

"Good night, Sam," she said sleepily. She did not end up pondering things long, at least not about the vision. The vision...almost didn't matter now, compared to what she was feeling. Ganieda searched her heart carefully, even though it looked rather like she was asleep.

She opened her eyes again. "Sam?"

	He smiled as he watched her, until he finally closed his eyes, glorying in how her hand felt, bouncy even as he was sleepy. When she spoke his name, his eyes snapped open. "Yes, Ganieda?" He smiled at her, warm and content. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	His eyes went wide and his breath hitched and for a long moment he could do nothing more than stare at her, before a feeling like fire washed over him and he kissed her, long, passionately, and well. She blushed hotly as he looked at her, wondering if she'd made a horrible mistake by saying something so soon, and then his mouth was on hers and she felt warm for an entirely different reason. She wrapped her arms around him, loving the feel of him in her arms.

And then he was looking at her, smiling at her and now tears really did fall. She kissed him again, her own smile very crooked.

	She held him close as he kissed her. "I am glad," she said softly, kissing him back. She felt so fragile, but so joyous. "I am so happy I feel as if I am going to fall apart. But...in a good way." She didn't quite know what she was saying. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
