He was worried about Ganieda, worried about her living situation, worried about her mom, and worried that it would go really wrong, really fast. He wanted to protect her, even as he did not know how, and he feared that if anything happened, it would be when he was not around. And that would kill him.

He raced down the roads, using back streets, moving as fast as he could. He had a baseball bat in the backseat, in easy reach, and he was ready, if fearful, should something happen. God, he wished he knew how to help her, how to make this right.

What the hell did he, a young guy from Nowheresville, know about helping people?

Nothing, maybe, but he knew he had to try.

As he turned down her street, he slid the lights down, and slowed to a saner speed, eyes on her building and everything around him, tense, and worried.

Ganieda let her eyes close. They stung as if she'd been crying, but she hadn't been.

She smiled and sighed, a little happier. "You make me feel so much better. Just knowing that you're around, that you'll be there."

She looked up at him again. "Whatever happens with me and no matter where I live, you will be welcome. There are even certain parts of Lego that I can bring you to that hardly anyone has seen. And then there's Avalon. I can't wait to show you Avalon."

	She grinned at him then. "We should have amazing adventures, then," she said. "Travel and see things. It's easy here, with those portkeys." She frowned as she thought. 	"Wales, at least, is still there. I'd like to see if parts of it are as desolate as I remember." And showing him some things...sharing with him. She would love it. "That sounds like a good idea.
