Darius sat back from the computer, rubbing his eyes. He had switched to his glasses for the night when he'd put up the post to Nate, and was eyeing his contacts a bit, before shrugging it off. Not like there was any call to impress his older brother.

He spread out on his bed, yawning a little. He was just going to rest his eyes until Nate called. No big deal.

He was asleep before his head hit the pillow, glasses pressed into the side of his head.

Domino slid her glasses and earmuffs off, and hopped off the chair she'd claimed. "You know I'm always ready."

The smirkiness in her voice and actions was enough to drown a puppy. Maybe having the young and impressionable Darius interacting with them for the first time in the usually clothing optional ship wasn't a great idea.

Oh well, he'd lived with the White Queen, he had to be used to sexuality by now.

Of course, looking at how bright red his face was, she could be wrong.

Darius coughed and set his muffs on the table, eying the way the other two interacted. He always felt kind of weird around Nate's girlfriends, when he actually brought them in contact with their family. Usually if anyone knew about one at all, it was through word of mouth and intense spying alone.

He wondered what had happened to this one in his world. Since he didn't know his way around, he waited for Cable or Domino to start walking.

	Cable led the way, and grinned as he did so. Family was good. Out into the hall and a right turn took them to the gym, where different work out equipment was, and a one bed medical station next to that. Domino was keeping a color commentary to go with, and sometimes against, Nate's. Seeing Darius's reactions made her smile. He seemed like a good kid. Part of her wondered if Nate would have been more like this boy if he'd gotten the chance.

No, she decided, probably not. But that was neither here nor there, really. Things were the way they were, and she wouldn't trade her past in for anything, if it meant changing their future.

She was pretty sure he felt the same way. But he had always had more going on in his life than her, so she wouldn't necessarily be hurt if he didn't.

The ship was awesome. Being a part of his oldest and youngest brother's life was awesome. Seeing him with his girlfriend was awesome.

Darius wished he'd hung out with this Nate before the whole Sinister thing came up, but at least he'd finally gotten around to it.

"You'll come visit me in Samoa, right?"

He didn't mean to blurt it out like that, and even said it right in the middle of one of Cable's sentences. He blushed a bit, and wondered why it was so important to him.

Because family was important to him, of course. Even strange AU family.
