Who: Sonya, Ganieda and later, everyone's favorite sorcerer
What: face to face encounter ( that's long over due)
Where: New York Central Park followed by the Tsung Mansion
When: Sunday afternoon

It took a few days, but Sonya was finally getting a steady grip on her damned morning sickness. Morning's were still bad, but so long as she avoided a long list of foods (she didn't really need to eat them), she was able to keep it to a slight nausea.

She still tired easily, but it was Sunday and her day off. The day was a little cloudy, but the fresh air-or as fresh as you could get in the Big Apple-helped her feel better and so did the walking. It wasn't even close to the strenuous work out she was used to, but anything near too that level made her dizzy.

Currently, she was power walking the length of Central park, dressed in athletic pants and tank, blonde hair pulled back in a tail behind her head, and ipod turned on random. With only a week till she was due to leave for London, she'd wasn't spending her day off training indoors.

She laughed.

"I wouldn't worry about that, usually when learning something for the first time it drains you before you could hurt anyone, when it doesn't drain you so fast you should be able to control it."

She considered a moment. "That could also be a problem. Magic, at least the sort I'm familiar, you have to 'allow it' to happen. If you're scared of it, the chances of you making a mistake are increased because you're so nervous. Fine line between respect and nervous fear."

	"I think I would like that," she said. "Once I really begin controlling my magic, that is. I think...it won't be quite as difficult as I thought." Her magic seemed to be a rather gentle sort. "I know when I was growing up, even now if in the rare event I see kids pretending, it's either 'house' or they're pretending to be super-heros or have some sort of power. Everyone wants to be powerful in some way."

"We'll have to go back to the mansion, there's a room there for sparing and practicing." She stood up. " It'll take sometime to get there, but I've money for a cab."

Sonya couldn't help but laugh as they walked out of the park and over to the busy streets.

"He might be away somewhere, he tends to come and go...keeps boredom away." and sleazy criminals off the streets, but Ganieda didn't need to know that. "

"He'd only mind it if you were male, however you're not. Therefore if he's home, he won't mind." She hailed a taxi and opened the door, letting Ganieda in first before sliding in and giving an address to the cabbi.

	Ganieda was much more used to motorized vehicles now, and found it a nice way to move about the city and be able to look around without looking too obvious. "Ah, that does make sense, I think." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Tsung learned that sort in the beginning as well. And don't sell yourself short, atleast you know somethings. We can build up from there easily."

"Personally, I can manipulate and move objects around me, turn into a hawk-but I think I already told you that-I can read into a person's soul, and I can blast out chi rings. Shang Tsung..I can't even comprehend what he's capable of."

They were soon at the outer part of the city, the radio playing spanish music lyrics.

	Ganieda nodded. "It is all gradual, that is what Merlin said." She smiled. "It must be wonderful to be able to fly," she commented. "But what is a 'chi ring'?" The music is strange but not unpleasant to Ganieda's ears. Though she does miss harp music. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"I learned mine from a Shaolin Monk named Liu Kang, during a tournament. His chi came in the form of fire, mine comes in the form of energy rings that can stun an opponent."

	Ganieda smiled as she listened to Sonya describe flying. It made sense to her that the muscles would become stronger even when one changed back. "Ah. So that would be for a battle situation. Though my firestarting coule be as well, in a pinch." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Yes, it would be for a battle situation, or in our case-that is Liu and I-it was during to defend ourselves in the tournament." They finally pulled up to the mansion driveway, Sonya paid the driver as they got out of the car before he drove off. "This is it. 	Ganieda nodded. Upon getting out of the car, her eyes are drawn up. And up. "Aye. It is a most magnificent estate indeed." "It's too big, and we're in the process of selling it when I'm to be transfered to London."

She walked up to the steps, opening the door. Charles wasn't around, so he must've been doing something else. Though she was able to sense Shang somewhere in the building. "He's here, but..he's busy with something." She moved to let her guest in. "We'll go into the training room."

The place was elegant but dark and intimating as the man that it housed.

	The room was large, or it would seem to be since there wasn't much. Some standing targets, weights, a punching bag..even some wooden practice weapons. 'He must've added them when I was away.' she thought. "This it, we could go in the library, but I don't think it would take to well to errant chi blasts." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

She had been practicing for days and it came much easier now. Her eyes unfocused for a few moments and she held out her hand. Light. She only had to think it and there was a ball of light in her hand--just pure warm light, no fire.

After a few moments, Ganieda let her fingers open and the light trickled to the floor, making a column of light.

That was as far as she'd gotten in her practice.

She nodded. "Not bad, but not that practical unless you need to see in the dark."

She walked until she was infront of a target. "This time, I want you to focus that same energy into her hands, concentrate until it almost tingles, and let go. Like this." She took a deep breath, bringing her arm to her for a moment. Letting out the breath, she shot her arm forward. For a split second, her arm glowed pink as energy shot from her arm in the form of bright, pink electric rings. The projectile met the target, sending it into the wall.

Shang Tsung finished with his readings, and writings and stood up with a stretch. His muscles were yearning for physical activity. He stood up, and walked towards the training room. He heard voices... Sonya was teaching someone magic?

He stood in the doorway and listened as she spoke. "Ah, look at you now. Giving lessons. The amazing tutelage of Sonya Blade." Shang Tsung smirked.

	Sonya turned. "And you finally showed up." She turned to Ganieda. "This is my husband Shang Tsung, sorcerer." To the sorcer. "This is Ganieda from Avalon, she was born with magic, but has been scared to use it. So I've been giving her a few beginners pointers." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
