Who: Sonya, Ganieda and later, everyone's favorite sorcerer
What: face to face encounter ( that's long over due)
Where: New York Central Park followed by the Tsung Mansion
When: Sunday afternoon

It took a few days, but Sonya was finally getting a steady grip on her damned morning sickness. Morning's were still bad, but so long as she avoided a long list of foods (she didn't really need to eat them), she was able to keep it to a slight nausea.

She still tired easily, but it was Sunday and her day off. The day was a little cloudy, but the fresh air-or as fresh as you could get in the Big Apple-helped her feel better and so did the walking. It wasn't even close to the strenuous work out she was used to, but anything near too that level made her dizzy.

Currently, she was power walking the length of Central park, dressed in athletic pants and tank, blonde hair pulled back in a tail behind her head, and ipod turned on random. With only a week till she was due to leave for London, she'd wasn't spending her day off training indoors.

Ganieda is in Central Park today as well, trying to get the fuzzy-headedness of her first Mass out of her head. That was a most strange ritual, indeed.

It is rather hard to re-connect with the goddess Rhiannon without horses to ride through the woods, but at least being outdoors is helping. She picks her head up to look around again. It was amazing how in this gargantuan city there was somewhere as nearly peaceful as this, though there were reminders of where she truly was all over.

She sees the young woman walking very quickly, and wondered where she was going so fast. And why was she not running instead of walking in that strange manner?

Sonya paused a moment to check her pulse, frowning a little..it shouldn't be this high after just this. Ok, so it was an hour's walk, but still, she's stronger than this.

She feels someone's eyes on her and turns, seeing a rather young girl staring at her. What was more, her soul seemed different, one of the 'louder' souls that she's been able to sense-which is saying something considering she's still a novice.

"Yes?"

	"Oh," she says, blushing, "I am sorry. I did not mean to stare. I was only wondering where you were walking to so very fast?" Ganieda is not very familiar with the idea of walking for exercise and not necessarily to get somewhere. She tilts her head to the side and looks again. "I think I know you," she says. "Sonya?" Sonya did a mental double take..the woman knew her name..

"Ganieda? yes?" It had to be, she said she possessed some power, which would explain why her soul 'stood out'.

"Power walking, to keep in shape. Under normal circumstances, I can usually run a five-minute mile like it's nothing, but lately I've been getting dizzy if I overexert myself." Damn pregnancy symptoms.

She pulled down the headphones to rest on her neck.

She held out her hand. "Likewise, about time to." She didn't seem to be all that powerful, but she shouldn't be one to judge.

who would've thought Shang Tsung had the power he did, when she first saw him as an old man.

Sonya looked down at herself. "I'm a month pregnant, though some would say that and illness is one in the same." What with being tired all the time, the nausea, and throwing up everyday.

	Ganieda shook hands warmly. There's one custom she's learned, at least. "Oh, but that is lovely! Are you very excited?" At the rate she is going, she will be an old woman of twenty-five before she has children. But things are strange here, and girls do not marry as young. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"It just came as a surprise, I was using protection at the time-but there's always that 1 percent chance it won't work." "It's safer here to raise a kid, so I'm happy for that. I just wish it didn't come with all the 'pleasant' side effects." She looked around, spotting a park bench and motioned with her head for Ganieda to sit down. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Ganieda nodded. "Well, sometimes it is meant to be and will be whether one wills it or no," she says.

"Oh, is your morning sickness very bad? I have heard from some of the ladies I lived with that it doesn't last much past three months." She sat down with Sonya on a park bench.

If there was one thing Ganieda did learn while she was on Avalon, it was about pregnancy and raising children.

Sonya held back a laugh. "I meant medical protection, not divine or anything like that. I was on birth control pills, they're supposed to give you 99 percent protection against pregnancy."

"It's not that bad. It's worse in the mornings and certain smells like greasy food, raw meat and dairy make me ill, but it's getting easier to handle. The only good thing is that I've an excuse to avoid the Mess hall on base."

	She giggles. "Well, there is that troublesome 1 percent," she says. "Are you hoping for a boy or a girl?" She did know that sometimes women wanted boys and the men wanted girls but understood that was not precisely common. Well, not in her world anyway. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"I'm sort of hoping for a boy, it'll be easier for me to raise one. But So long as the baby's healthy, it doesn't really make a difference." It came with being around soldiers all her life, easier to relate. "Tsung..he might prefer a son, but I think he'd feel 'safer' with having a daughter."
