It was hard not to notice the 6'4" middle aged man sprawled across one of the three sofas in the little cafe just off Venice Beach. He had a large mug of latte on the table nearby, a cigarette between his lips (Smoking ban be damned!) and a guitar across his chest. He was playing some sort of allegro, though allegro would be considered slow compared to what he was doing just then. His dyed black hair was in his face as he played, spilling over his shoulders and over his eyes. But his tattoos were prominent enough to give away just who he was, if the rest didn't.
This was his version of waiting patiently.

He sipped at the drink again. "Oh. You doesn't knows on it aforcause you is from not an Earths place." He shook his head but didn't mind explaining the joke, "Hokaywell, deres is dis place calleds Rome? and is a sorts of dis real awesome sorts of hisricticals place dats is was makes up of vury metal armies. Dat armies conquers on the whole worlds, once. But den dey gots all pussy and turns Christian and now de place is like, all sorts of religions? P'fft. But you is gets roamings, ja? Roamings? Romans?" He knew he was speaking correctly in that regard.

"Hn. Is a funniers joke if you gets on it first things."

He hadn't even thought to hold her hand. That was totally lame and not metal, and very honestly not in himself. However, he did grab his leather jacket and slide it on over his bare arms before stuffing his hands into his own pockets. "Dis is fars and aways de best beach dats Americas has to offers. Asides from on Hawaiis, buts dats don'ts counts none, is an islands." He wandered out and shouldered the door open, though he didn't hold it for her. Again, he hadn't even thought of it.
Skwisgaar started walking at a slow enough pace (He'd learned to walk slowly on account of being an... "uncle"...) so she could catch up and walk leisurely, and he nodded down the trail to the way to the beach. Just to their side, it was cliffs and ocean, and to the other side, it was urban sprawl.

She pushed through the door herself, and walked next to him. She looked around, taking in the area, deciding that it would be a nice enough place to visit. She didn't want to live on the beach any time soon. It would remind her too much of home.

Once they were in sight of a place where she could approach the surf, she took off her shoes to walk on the sand. "Fancy a swim?"

"No thanks." He said with a simple incline of his head. He was at least smart enough to have worn his flip-flops to the beach instead of his boots (Though he'd thought about it!) and stepped into the lick of the water. "I ain'ts too goods ats a swimmings? Never has learns how." He shrugged one shoulder. "I looks good standings next to a surfsboard, but dats is abouts de extents of how I is does on a oceans."

	Lulu laughed and took off her coat, jogging toward the ocean. "Oh, come get your feet wet, you big baby." She turned around and cast the smallest water spell she knew directly over his head, drenching him, before jumping into the ocean herself, fully clothed. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Luckily, he was shrugging off his coat at the time and it only got partially wet. He huffed at that, shaking the leather jacket with a furrowed brow before tossing it aside, taking off his sandals and tossing them atop the other article of clothing, before walking out beside her. "I hopes to lets you knows dat magic is totallies unfairs? And dats I wills gets you backs for dat."

As for Skwisgaar, he was standing in a spot that was at chest level when the waves swelled around him, arms crossed. Oh boy, water. Whee. It was a damned joy that Toki wasn't around to near-drown him with his exuberant behavior. "Hn." He said, his brow quirking, and his lips curling up into another smile, "Hokay, I is likes of waters a little more den I lets on to be."

The Swede wasn't ogling nearly as much as he could have been. He shook his head, "Nots really. Olds dogs. New lessons. I ain'ts of dat sorts of kinds of dude. He dried his feet by covering them in dry sand, then scraping it off and setting his sandals on. The rest of him dripped and he didn't care, as he slung his jacket over one shoulder. If Lulu hadn't gotten enough men gaping at her clinging, showy dress yet, she was getting it now -- not from Skwisgaar, however, who was caught up in thinking about other things, had forgotten that he could look, just not touch.
Well, for a moment at least. He grabbed his guitar and nodded to her, before realizing just how wet and tight that skirt had become. "You is... goings to needs to change outs of dat?"

Skwisgaar shook his head and muttered, "Ja. I is worries on you catch a colds and dats is why you shoulds finds on a fireplace and gets warms and dries again."

Not that he was offering or anything, no. He had only four fireplaces in the mansion to which he'd just relocated. And the whole switching clothes thing was totally doable due to his now-repopulated stock pile of teeshirts for groupies. He smirked, "I coulds introduce you to a pals while we gets you a better less wet things to wear?"

"That would be fine. And by 'introduce me to a pal' you do mean a human entity and not your..." She made a vague hand gesture to his groin. "Because I'm going to be leaving to spend some time with friends and then returning to what I hope will be another date and nowhere in my schedule is your..."

She blinked. "You should get drier pants too." Coughing, she turned away from him and proceeded to braid her long hair.
