Sadako wanted to see Sweeney, but she was honestly more curious about what he was planning for her. The taxi moved faster than her feet, and she was soon knocking on Sweeney's door, filled with anxious energy. Twirling strands of her hair around her fingers, she nervously shifted from foot to foot for him to answer the door.

He paused in thought, still with the tiny, warm smile on his face, fingers still tracing idle patterns on Sadako's skin. Then Sweeney turned to her, "What was done then and there is done. This is a new life. Mrs. Lovett was right, Best to forget and move on than make a mistake once more and dwell forever on it."

He realized that part a bit too late, himself. But now he had the chance to do just that.

	Sweeney looked only the slightest bit hesitant at those words, "You're not intending on dragging me out to have a good time, are you?" He honestly didn't know the meaning of the word. And the circus and other carnivals never truly appealed to him. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Sadako snorted. "Certainly not. Perhaps the theater, or maybe a nice concert, but nothing greater than that." She laughed at the idea of Sweeney in a dance club or anything of that nature. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	He relaxed again and smiled, running his fingers across her skin, pressing another kiss to her neck. "You should laugh more often." It was a good sound. And he hadn't outright laughed for a very, very long time, himself. His fingers teased their way down to the small of her back. "It's our world, Sadako. We'll enjoy it this time around." He moved in for the kiss, pulling the covers over their shoulders as he did, keeping her warm, and safe, and there with him. Sweeney knew full well that his world was changing, that he was changing with it, and all he could think of was keeping Sadako his, at least for as long as she'd allow it.

He knew they were a good fit, and although he didn't know much about the world or the people in it, he didn't feel tempted to go and look for anything better, because in his mind, there wasn't anything that could be better. It was a serendipitous moment, perhaps something made of the divine, that brought him straight to her so early in his coming here.
