Terrence had been spending a lot of time at Alek's bedside, ever since he had gotten out of the hospital himself. It was hard, but good for him; he had never really spent much time alone with Ella's brother before, and the more he did (even with Alek unconscious) helped to solidify him as a person separate from Amelia in Terrence's twisted, utterly fucked mind. Not that he actually thought Alek was Amelia, ever, but his association between the two of them was so strong that it was unhealthy. By staying beside his bed, reading random things aloud (mostly about dueling and fighting, because he was mentally bargaining with Merlin or whoever that he would make Alek a fucking bad arse at defending himself if he woke up, but sometimes stories too), Terrence's mind hurt less and less, and his already steely willpower to see all of this resolved was strengthened even more.
He had stopped reading a while ago, and had opened his journal, writing to Katie from Alek's bedside. When their plans were solidified, Terrence got to his feet, bid goodbye to Alek as though the boy could hear him, and Apparated away.
When he landed on Katie's doorstep, he didn't really have a plan, just a general idea of what he was here to do. Improvisation was generally his strong point, anyway. Katie was his friend, a far more moral person than he was; since that side of her was under the influence of the potion, he wasn't sure what use she might actually be in bringing about the destruction of Voldemort's world as they knew it. But Terrence wasn't really thinking about her usefulness. He wanted to bring her out from under the potion for her sake, wanted to bring everyone out from under it, but she was the only one he'd seen so far that had shown signs of possibly being able to fight it off on her own. How he could help her get further, he wasn't sure, but he was done with tiptoeing around on eggshells.
He did want to build a snow fort, of course. That sounded like hilarious fun, and he could really use that kind of distraction from his life. Getting Katie out from under the potion could easily mean the end of all those distractions for him, so he really stood to gain very little from this. Except that he would get one over on the bastard that had put him under the potion, and possibly strengthen the opposition in the process.
With a sigh, he lifted his hand, and knocked on her door.
