Terrence was still chuckling, but he burst out laughing again at that mental image. "That's brilliant," he agreed, entirely too amused. Maybe before the snow was gone, he should pack a few into his freezer, just in case the snow was gone before Alek woke up. If anyone deserved a fun snowball fight, it was Alek.
He finished his snow angel and got to his feet, looking at it. It hadn't worked nearly as well as it had when he was little, but he was pleased with the result. He fought down the temptation to throw a snowball at Katie while she was on the ground, likely starting the whole fight all over again; he hadn't come out here just for a snowball fight, after all.
After a moment, his expression sobered, and he looked at Katie, not sure how to bring the topic back up. Or if he should, but he had made the decision to do so and he would stick with it. "Bit ironic to be the bearer of bad news after making a snow angel," he said ruefully. "I feel like I'm always giving you bad news. But I'm only trying to help, honestly."
Whether she'd believe him on that point or not, he wasn't sure, but he hoped she would.
