Neville was starting to feel like he and Hannah were just not going to get a break. It was premature of him to think that something else had gone wrong; but he couldn't ignore the feeling he got when he read her journal message. The fact she was asking if he was busy before mentioning she needed to talk to him typically meant that she didn't want to have him fretting over something else. He couldn't guarantee this was what was occurring, but his stomach wasn't boding well as he made his way upstairs.
All he kept thinking was that Theo had decided not to take on Mr. Abbott. What were they going to do if this was the case? They were already talking about selling her family home, something he was completely against doing (even though he saw no other possible option), and he wasn't sure if that would cover the hospital bills if Theo pulled out of helping the elderly man. He tried to push down his worry as he pushed open their flat's door, smiling as best he could. "Sunshine?" He called out, walking through the space until he finally found her in their bedroom.
He walked up to her and immediately pressed his lips to her forehead. "What is it, love?" He asked quietly. Perhaps he was worrying for nothing. Perhaps she was going to tell them they had a large sum of money donated to the pub or that they had won a lottery. Perhaps she was going to tell him her father was fine now. It could be good news. It could be not news at all but simply her needing him to fix a leak in the roof or the like. He just did not know, so worrying was uncalled for.
