OOC |-| Alright, this thread is pretty much open for the threads you'd like to create. Have fun and be creative. All I ask is that you keep all NC-17 posts until after. No shagging under the tables, on the bar, or in a broom closet. Also, I'd like most to stay at least until the small plot twist which will be posted later using this account. It will make things a bit more interesting in the game. Thanks!

The surroundings were absolutely gorgeous as people mingled in the ballroom located in the heart of the Ministry of Magic Headquarters. Jewels sparkled and all in attendence were dressed in their finest. From the CRWM's point of view it was a night of celebration, their attempts at creating a new and better Wizarding Community were well on their way and the future looked bright for all, both Muggleborn and Pureblood alike.

Despite the seriousness of the evening, Minister Kinglsey Shaklebolt was not in attendance. Instead, he had left a representative in his stead, who had taken a moment to address the crowd, speaking of the hope and a positive future. The message had various reactions throughout the crowd. Many were hopeful, but just as many were not impressed and it could be seen. The speech and formalities did not last for very long before the guests were left to themselves to mingle and have a good time. The music was started, the bar was opened, and waiters moved through the crowd carrying both drinks and orderves.

Asteria had learned a long time ago the spells one needed in order to prepare for a social engagement. It had been drilled into her head along side table manners and proper etiqute. It was just one of those things she'd picked up on as she became of age, aidded by the simple fact that the girl's showers in the Slytherin dorms had not been exactly top of the line. If one wanted the space to do one's hair, they made it, reflection charms included.

Given the schedule Lynch had the boys on, Asteria had figured that Roger might be a little rushed so had left the bathroom free for him. She honestly didn't need it anyway, so it hadn't really been a big deal. She was more then happy to let him have the chance to clean up after practice. She had to admit, he cleaned up rather nicely. He looked good all the time, but there was something about a collared-shirt and tie that seemed to draw her attention like nothing else.

She flushed lightly, adding some colour to her cheeks. "You look great, as well." she responded, with only the smallest amount of nervousness showing through. She hoped things wouldn't get too crazy with the photograhers, Ministry oficals, and those regular individuals who just wanted to be introduced.

Roger's hand went up to ruffle his hair, which was still wet from the shower, causing him to grin slightly. He felt quite funny being at such a formal event with his wife. In the past, if he'd gotten tricked into attending something like this, it was usually with some pretty thing he'd seen at a club or bar moments before arriving at the event. And now he was here with someone that he was supposed to spend the rest of his life with.

He wasn't too worried about photographers or any extra attention since the media seemed to be feeding off of Flint and the drama with his pair. Roger and Asteria were too boring, too tame. While plenty of women were lamenting Roger's change in marital status, it certainly wouldn't sell more copies than a juicy article and appropriately scandalous picture of Flint. And Roger was more than happy with that.

He grabbed a couple of the shrimp that one waiter was carrying, taking care to at least eat them gracefully, since his manner of acquiring them was anything but graceful. He was in public, no matter how ravenous he was.

She'd spent so much of her time growing up around guys who never relaxed and always seemed to be the perfect specimen of sophisticated manners. With Roger it was different. Don't get her wrong, his manners were perfect...but he allowed himself to relax and that drew her to him even more.

She couldn't help but smile in amusement when he aquired some shrimp. That was another thing he had going for him. He could make her laugh. He didn't bore her or think she was below any topic of conversation. She'd recently come to the conclusion that this was the best possible match for her and she was slowly learning to enjoy every moment of it.

Without hesitation or any horrible blushing, she slid her hand into his and stayed close at his side. Her eyes had glanced over the crowd, spotting some familiar people and making note to say Hello at some point. As for right now, she was fine where she was.

Roger wasn't surprised when Asteria's hand had slid into his own free one. Of late, their level of physical intimacy was beginning to rise, though they were still very far away from the level that Roger was used to with some of his previous girlfriends. Not to say that Roger minded, because he didn't, in the slightest. Things were moving along at a proper pace, and Roger had to admit that there was the smallest bit of nerves starting to form in him when he thought about taking their relationship to the next level. It would happen eventually, when they were both ready. And at the moment, Roger wasn't sure they were ready quite yet.

"Do we need to make rounds?" Roger asked with a small hint of exhaustion in his voice at the thought of needing to say hello to countless people. He was really too hungry to bother with wandering around and talking to people he saw only a handful of times a year, but he knew they'd have to eventually.

"They are serving dinner eventually, right?" Roger asked, turning to fix his wife with a curious and slightly worried look. The thought of having to go hours without food was enough to make him want to leave that instant.

Asteria smiled up at him, seeing the worry for what it was. "I'm sure they'll have something out soon." she reassured him. Usually, at events such as these they had nothing more then a refreshment table. Given his late practice she knew he really hadn't had a chance to eat anything since before he had left earlier in the day.

"If they don't, we'll go home early." she offered. She wasn't exactly the best cook, but her houself knew how to make some of the best pasta. She was surprised she wasn't any bigger then she was with the amount of times in a week she had the poor thing cook for her. "Bella will have enough food for six people prepared, I'm sure."

She figured they should make their rounds, but for once she didn't care about society protocal. Her mother was no in attendence so she wouldn't have to listen to her complain. "We should, but I'd rather just dance with you."

Roger was quickly falling in love with little Bella. Every day, after practice, she always had plenty of food waiting for him, and everyday it was something new. Even today, knowing the event that he and Asteria had to attend, she'd had things waiting for him, but Roger hadn't had time to eat any of it. Instead, he'd had to mournfully ask her to store it for a few hours, and promise thath he'd heat it up later when they returned.

A content grin spread across Roger's face as he thought about going home to Bella's cooking, but he was snapped out of his reverie by Asteria's next statement. "I'd never turn down a dance with my lovely wife," Roger said with a small bow and a smirk, "especially when I've already promised dances to other ladies. I should take care of my favorite one first, no?"

Asteria had to laugh lightly at the look on his face. Bella quite clearly had a new fan and Asteria found it absolutely adorable. It was common knowledge that Bella could create some of the best meals. It had taken a lot of work, but the small house elf had been trained to prepare many different types of cuisine. Asteria had attempted cooking, and Roger seriously never wanted to try it. She had her talents, but cooking was not one of them.

Her smile faded with his explanation. "Who else did you promise dances to?" she asked, her eyebrow raised. Was that a hint of jealousy, she detected? Whatever it was, she didn't like it at all. It really shouldn't have been a big deal.

Roger caught the edge in Asteria's manner, and wondered if he should have kept quiet about the dances, and spoke about them in a less casual way. But he really had meant what he said, she was his favorite, and he would do whatever she wished the entire night. Including ignoring other women if that was what she desired.

"Romilda Vane," Roger said with a small shrug, "nothing serious, just joking between friends. And if anyone else wants a dance, I'll tell them that I'm already taken."

Would that please her? Roger wasn't exactly sure how to deal with this....edge that was coming forth. Was Asteria jealous? Being possessive? Roger had to admit that neither prospect upset him that much, and instead left him feeling pleased that he'd managed to make such a good impression on her.

She flushed upon realizing that she was, in fact, jealous. It was just a friend he had said and still there was that underlying dislike of sharing. She was being absolutely ridiculous and she knew it. Shaking her head, "No, that's fine. I don't mind." she responded, her flush remaining on her skin, causing her cheeks to glow.

"So, um. Shall we?" she ask, nodding toward the dance floor and hoping that he didn't think she had suddenly gone crazy. There was obviously something more to this relationship that she needed to take into account. If she was so disgruntled about him sharing a simple dance with another woman...a friend even, then she really needed to rethink how she felt about him.

"I'd be delighted," Roger said smoothly, opting not to draw any more attention to the little tension that had arose. It would pass soon enough, and there was no reason to ruin their evening because of a little bout of jealousy.

He gracefully lead her out to the dance floor, twirling her, before pulling her close and starting to slow dance. His mother had taught him all manners of dance, and he was equally adept at all of them.

[OOC: Do we want to call this done, and then respond after the plot twist?]
