OOC |-| Alright, this thread is pretty much open for the threads you'd like to create. Have fun and be creative. All I ask is that you keep all NC-17 posts until after. No shagging under the tables, on the bar, or in a broom closet. Also, I'd like most to stay at least until the small plot twist which will be posted later using this account. It will make things a bit more interesting in the game. Thanks!

The surroundings were absolutely gorgeous as people mingled in the ballroom located in the heart of the Ministry of Magic Headquarters. Jewels sparkled and all in attendence were dressed in their finest. From the CRWM's point of view it was a night of celebration, their attempts at creating a new and better Wizarding Community were well on their way and the future looked bright for all, both Muggleborn and Pureblood alike.

Despite the seriousness of the evening, Minister Kinglsey Shaklebolt was not in attendance. Instead, he had left a representative in his stead, who had taken a moment to address the crowd, speaking of the hope and a positive future. The message had various reactions throughout the crowd. Many were hopeful, but just as many were not impressed and it could be seen. The speech and formalities did not last for very long before the guests were left to themselves to mingle and have a good time. The music was started, the bar was opened, and waiters moved through the crowd carrying both drinks and orderves.

Asteria smiled up at him, seeing the worry for what it was. "I'm sure they'll have something out soon." she reassured him. Usually, at events such as these they had nothing more then a refreshment table. Given his late practice she knew he really hadn't had a chance to eat anything since before he had left earlier in the day.

"If they don't, we'll go home early." she offered. She wasn't exactly the best cook, but her houself knew how to make some of the best pasta. She was surprised she wasn't any bigger then she was with the amount of times in a week she had the poor thing cook for her. "Bella will have enough food for six people prepared, I'm sure."

She figured they should make their rounds, but for once she didn't care about society protocal. Her mother was no in attendence so she wouldn't have to listen to her complain. "We should, but I'd rather just dance with you."

Roger was quickly falling in love with little Bella. Every day, after practice, she always had plenty of food waiting for him, and everyday it was something new. Even today, knowing the event that he and Asteria had to attend, she'd had things waiting for him, but Roger hadn't had time to eat any of it. Instead, he'd had to mournfully ask her to store it for a few hours, and promise thath he'd heat it up later when they returned.

A content grin spread across Roger's face as he thought about going home to Bella's cooking, but he was snapped out of his reverie by Asteria's next statement. "I'd never turn down a dance with my lovely wife," Roger said with a small bow and a smirk, "especially when I've already promised dances to other ladies. I should take care of my favorite one first, no?"

Asteria had to laugh lightly at the look on his face. Bella quite clearly had a new fan and Asteria found it absolutely adorable. It was common knowledge that Bella could create some of the best meals. It had taken a lot of work, but the small house elf had been trained to prepare many different types of cuisine. Asteria had attempted cooking, and Roger seriously never wanted to try it. She had her talents, but cooking was not one of them.

Her smile faded with his explanation. "Who else did you promise dances to?" she asked, her eyebrow raised. Was that a hint of jealousy, she detected? Whatever it was, she didn't like it at all. It really shouldn't have been a big deal.

Roger caught the edge in Asteria's manner, and wondered if he should have kept quiet about the dances, and spoke about them in a less casual way. But he really had meant what he said, she was his favorite, and he would do whatever she wished the entire night. Including ignoring other women if that was what she desired.

"Romilda Vane," Roger said with a small shrug, "nothing serious, just joking between friends. And if anyone else wants a dance, I'll tell them that I'm already taken."

Would that please her? Roger wasn't exactly sure how to deal with this....edge that was coming forth. Was Asteria jealous? Being possessive? Roger had to admit that neither prospect upset him that much, and instead left him feeling pleased that he'd managed to make such a good impression on her.

She flushed upon realizing that she was, in fact, jealous. It was just a friend he had said and still there was that underlying dislike of sharing. She was being absolutely ridiculous and she knew it. Shaking her head, "No, that's fine. I don't mind." she responded, her flush remaining on her skin, causing her cheeks to glow.

"So, um. Shall we?" she ask, nodding toward the dance floor and hoping that he didn't think she had suddenly gone crazy. There was obviously something more to this relationship that she needed to take into account. If she was so disgruntled about him sharing a simple dance with another woman...a friend even, then she really needed to rethink how she felt about him.

"I'd be delighted," Roger said smoothly, opting not to draw any more attention to the little tension that had arose. It would pass soon enough, and there was no reason to ruin their evening because of a little bout of jealousy.

He gracefully lead her out to the dance floor, twirling her, before pulling her close and starting to slow dance. His mother had taught him all manners of dance, and he was equally adept at all of them.

[OOC: Do we want to call this done, and then respond after the plot twist?]
