Is there anyone who can explain why there seems to be numerous pranks played today? I wasn't very amused to find my car covered in whipped cream. Just what is April Fool's?

Plastic surgery? Really? That's wonderful. But may I ask what the Surgeon General is? I'm not really from around here.

And what does your neighbor have against you?

Are you free Thursday instead? And I haven't had the opportunity to try Thai, though I've heard it's delicious.

As the Surgeon General, I'm basically head of the Public Health department. I am the leading spokesperson on matters of public health. I also put out warnings about public health emergencies.

But enough about me, what is it you do? Tell me more about yourself. You said you had a teenager. How is it that someone as lovely as you could possibly be old enough to have a teenage daughter?

And Thursday is more than fine. The sooner I get to spend time getting to know you, the better.

That sounds like quite the responsibility. It must keep you busy.

Back home I owned a cargo shipping company that was mostly run by family. I was helping my nephew here with his new import/export shipping company before he disappeared, and then I sort of took over.

Are you always this flattering to women?

Yes, Cara is 17. I have a 25-year-old daughter too. Two of her, actually. The vortex brought two of her here from different realities, so now I have three daughters. I had Mia when I was young, at age 20, right after I married. I think the vortex aged me down several years, since I replaced a woman slightly younger than I was before. Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

So I could have suggested tomorrow night, and you'd be fine with the idea?

It does. I'm also the head of plastics at Kent Memorial in New York. Thank God for Portkeys or I'd never get anything done.

So you basically run a company? How fascinating. You're quite a woman, Jacinda Jesbar.

I'll be honest, I'm a charmer. Some might even say a flirt or a womanizer. But I can honestly say I've never met a woman like you.

Whatever your age or number of children, you're stunning. And I'd be fine with you suggesting any night. Now even, if it weren't so late.

I understand. Portkeys save me from going crazy some days.

I took on more responsibility after Brodin disappeared, so I've been helping them run it. But it's not the same as it was back home. I'm looking for something different to do, to be honest. Both Mia's are on their own and Cara will be moving out next year. I'll have a lot more time on my hands.

And how do I know you haven't fed a lot of women that line? What makes me different?

Thank you. Does tomorrow night fit into your schedule? I'm free if you are.

I hope you find something you enjoy doing then to occupy your time.

I guess you can't know. You'll just have to trust me, and if you don't, you have every right not to. But you are different. You're the first woman I've had a conversation with that lasted longer than two comments before it devolved into one of us asking "your place or mine" or ended with me asking you out to dinner with the understanding that there'd be sex at the end of the night.

Don't get me wrong, I find you incredibly attractive, and if given the chance, I'd nail you into the floorboards, but I find that I would rather get to know you first. Find out what makes you tick. You're rather intriguing and you seem to be a woman of substance, not some vapid bimbo.

I'm free as well. I find that I'd be free for you anytime.

So do I. I'm sure I'll find something.

That's the sort of answer about trust I was hoping for. I don't generally trust strangers who say you can trust them.

I'm not trying to relationship dig, that's not what I'm here for, but I highly doubt I'm the first woman you've ever had a decent conversation with. I find you attractive as well, but I thought you were only what you seemed to be and what you've described. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

I... thank you. For the compliments. It's been awhile since anyone made me blush like that.

I think I'd be free for you just about anytime, too.

I won't lie to you, I've been a sheer and total jackass with women in the past. I've slept around, and I don't apologize for it, but I'm not proud of it either. It was just what I chose.

But I can tell you in all honesty that if I hadn't happened upon your post, I'd still be after the next piece of ass. With you, while I'm sure the piece of ass would be beyond excellent, I'm actually interested in what you have to say, not just what you've got on under your dress. I'm not lying when I say you're the first real woman I've had a conversation with.

Everyone knows my reputation. So when I talk to a woman, she assumes she knows what I'm after. Even if I'm after more. Thank you for recognizing that in me.

So how about now then, Ms. Jesbar? Late dinner and drinks in Chicago, maybe a walk along the river?

I'm interested in hearing more about you, if you don't mind sharing.

A lot of people are rarely what they seem to be. I've run into my fair share of people who are, but most people can't be described with only a label stuck on them.

I'd love to.
