Okay ladies, serious question: how do you cope?

I mean, seriously, right now I want a turkey sandwich and a nap and maybe something to punch, but mostly I don't even want to move

And I'm not sure if laying on the bathroom floor and using the tile as a cold compress actually felt good, or if it just felt good in comparison to everything else feeling like I've been hit by a bus.

And I have to do it again next month?

Ugh.

My lady survives it with copious amounts of tea and quiet music.

And she makes sugar cookies with little >:( faces in them. I could ask her to bake you some!

Just... don't leave them in your kitchen or Dean might get into them and that may be cause for homicide and I kinda like Dean.

I suggest a cool damp washcloth on your forehead and a good movie.

Thanks. Cookies and tea sounds like a good idea.

You know, once I can get downstairs.

Fuckin' stairs.

Alrighty. Just give me a call if you need someone to scream at. I'm good for that. :D

NEVER HAVE CHILDREN!

The first one after that? OMG, bad.

But, the first time's the worst.

Chocolate, heating pads, and having someone to do all your moving for you is the best I can recommend.

I wasn't planning on it anyway, but thanks for the heads up.

Wonder how hard it would be to lure someone up here to do my bidding...

You live with anyone?

Anyone male, especially?

Because you can always trick men into doing your bidding during this time of the month. The concept freaks them out, I think.

You'll also want to eat more proteins, so that you don't become deficient.

Also, the pill is a beautiful, marvelous thing. I'm fixed and I still went back on the pill for the hormone control.

I do, and yes, they're my boys. Don't know where they've gone to just now though.

And I'm going to make myself a meat on meat sandwich once I can navigate the stairs without falling... maybe I'll even toast it.

And what pill? I've got aspirin.

It's hormonal therapy used to make women infertile, so that sexual contact doesn't yield children. I could go into how it works and shit, but you probably don't need that.

Basically it makes the hormones that are making your body crazy right now all the time, so that when the PMS hits, your body handles it better. And somehow it doesn't make things bad along the way.

Are you new to this time?

Yep. '67 Chevy Impala. Up until now I was having more fun with the tits than I was with the fenders.

And I am a mechanic. Not really doing me any good right now though.

And maybe you can immerse yourself in your work when standing doesn't hurt?

I'll get you a sandwich and a heating pad, the ones that stick right on. Plus, I'll grab some Hershey bars and shortbread cookies and make you some tea, possibly provide a backrub if needed.

Then I will slink away, into the night, because it would be bad for Batman to blow his macho cover and let the world know he's had experience with PMS-ing girls.

Poor Che. Wish there was more I could do to help you.

I hate you right now, but not a whole lot, because you get to deal with it too eventually.

FYI: being a girl sucks, even though tits are awesome.

Hormones and a damn uterus and blargh. Just blargh.

And yeah, I can see how they'd kind of get in the way with flying and stuff. I have to make sure I've got them held down when I'm at work.

Don't drink alcoholic beverages, as they will dehydrate you and give you worse headaches than the ones you are already experiencing. I have personally found that keeping active makes things better. Being lazy and stagnant only makes you feel worse.

I usually crave pastries during my menstruation cycle, danishes and the like. But keeping to a healthful diet will insure a better state of well-being during the time you are on your period. If you let your hormones control you, you are likely to become lackadaisical and less able to do work, and you'll feel crummy.

The first three months, I let my emotions and hormones get the better of me, ohhhhh wow, that wasn't very fun. I could barely move from my couch. I watched so many sappy movies to laugh at their outcomes but I wound up crying.

Me.
Crying.
That was just not acceptable. So I broke the television and bought myself a new one and vowed never to let my hormones rule over me again.

Humans are FAR more fragile and complex than I once thought.
