As much as I like being able to wear trousers whenever and as often as I want, I have come to decide that I don't like this new version of London very much. It's too crowded and too loud and no one seems to care if they mow you won in the street (which is, in fact, refreshingly like my own London) without so much as knowing your name.
I have money, more money than I've had before, apparently being in charge of a successful frozen meat pie company pays well, but I really have no idea what to spend it on. I'm a woman of simple tastes, and used to being penniless.
My house is huge, and empty, and I think the space is beginning to drive me mad. Even my office is larger than the house I used to have. I've also begun to collect snips and snatches of memory that I know aren't mine, and it's quite unnerving to know that whoever I was before was just as almost-mad and just as lonely, filling the emptiness of the house with hours upon hours of television melodramas and and eerie doll-children. |

Okay ladies, serious question: how do you cope?
I mean, seriously, right now I want a turkey sandwich and a nap and maybe something to punch, but mostly I don't even want to move
And I'm not sure if laying on the bathroom floor and using the tile as a cold compress actually felt good, or if it just felt good in comparison to everything else feeling like I've been hit by a bus.
And I have to do it again next month?

I attended a cultish church-type meeting against myself today.
And I'm racking up 5 of the 7 deadly sins. Pass a hotter version of Adam my way and I'm sure I can get up to 6. Send me more than one and 7 is a defiant.
And Easter's tomorrow. I mean, I know most of the ways I think are somehow connected to religion but I feel like it's following me around. |
