This newest devastation in Australia has left me beside myself with grief. I can feel Mother Earth's pain every time I see a picture, or every time I hear about. Gaia is weeping. Mother is groaning. I cannot help but hear her pleas for relief and respond to them in the best way I can.

I'll be going to the site of the wreckage and putting all of myself and gifts into the recovery. If anyone would like to rise to the occasion with me, that would please me greatly, and you can tell me here or give me a call at [phone number]. International, day or night, it does not matter. I will be leaving the outskirts of London and heading there via portkey Tuesday morning.

Whoever is responsible for such damage has my utmost in the way of disgust. Such a reckoning is far past even my grandchildren, my grandchildren who slew Niobe's brood after she dared to stab the back of her old friend, my daughter. To think they learned nothing of vengeance from the grandmother that bore stars, moon, sun, and a grand deal of knowledge and foresight is nothing more than folly. How dare such power be misused? Horrendous. I feel anger very rarely, but now my wrath is coming on. The moon, the sun, the stars, sky and space above and below have served me well, but I dare not allow them to cross with my dismay.

One of our Kings fell, and his power was bestowed upon the mortal. I personally would have seen that another demon would have been shouldered with the mantle, but it was not my place.

With all due respect, Phoebe, it is not your place to go into our ranks and try to teach our kind how to behave. In fact, that would be the archangels' jobs. And we've got one on his way to put the boy in his place. So you go on with your humanitarian effort, but leave the breaking and reforming of this child to us.

Where did I imply that I would dare touch your ranks? To imply such a thing is not at all respectful, Asmodeus. It will do you well to remember that I am not Hera, that I am not Athena nor even my granddaughter. I have great power at my fingertips, true, but I have had nothing but eons to watch and do very little. I refuse to have my mother's body ruined for a child's temper tantrum, but that does mean I am in any way taking vengeance upon him.

Sisyphus crossed the gods and his fate was sealed. He remains, as my husband does, in the darkest parts of the Underworld. We Greeks know how to punish and how to keep ours in line. I'd ask what would become of this fallen King, but that wouldn't be respectful.

I'm not known for my respectful ways, suffice it to say. But yes, I suppose I read into your message, and for that I offer an apology.

He is not Sisyphus, nor is he any normal mortal by any means. He has been raised and molded, carefully created to be that which he now is. His temper tantrum will not go unnoticed or without due punishment, I can assure you of that.

Our fallen King has returned to his higher form, in part. He has elected to become a daemon, a teacher of Man, instead of the demon he was, and the angel he was created to be. If you wish to speak to the reason this boy has power at all, I believe he's in Uruk, with my sister.
