Heavens to Murgatroyd, I've been shifted through dimensions before, but not quite as abruptly, nor was it quite so isolated. I do hope that they captured the anomaly at the Institute, it would make for fascinating data!

I could only hope to presume that this Earth is the one that I've been told about, unless there are other worlds into which you are taken abruptly by what seems to be an isolated tornado.

Yes, miss? Are you having trouble with your computer? I seem to have only received a blank post.

It must have been a server glitch, then. Well then.

Now... correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't you the young lady I saw scoot out the door at the office when it was time to pack up and call it a day?

No, it was me flailing, sorry.

I - yeah, you noticed me? I'm Penelope Garcia, the tech analyst for Behavioral Analysis. You work at MI5 now?

I did, it's hard not to notice someone nearly drop their coffee and then shuffle off, giggling.

It seems that I do. The more political end of things, however, though Behavioral Analysis is an incredibly fascinating line of work! I must simply say that it is a noble and wonderful thing you are doing, working with the profilers.

Right! Oh, I'm sorry, I hope you didn't take it the wrong way, I was just really excited to see you because it kind of feels like I know you and wow I'm doing the same thing I did with Gam - Remy. Yes.

I guess it's wonderful and noble for the people we save, but sometimes at the end of the day it doesn't feel like it.

I assure you, Miss Garcia, we're all rather accustomed to the occasional fan of our work, whether it is done in the same world, or read about in comics in other dimensions. I personally find it rather endearing that our fans are by and large extraordinarily wonderful people. Well, mine seem to be. No telling about the rest of the team.

It may seem hard at times, Miss Garcia, as if it's a - to put it colloquially - a piss into the ocean, but without you, and others like you, the world would grind to a catastrophic halt. You have my unwavering respect for doing what you do.

Reid and myself are both fans of yours. I think he likes you because he feels a bit outcast himself.

I'm sure, but sometimes it hurts. There's just so much wrong with people.

Be sure to introduce me to him, next time you see me at work.

... And yet there is so much right. Certainly, in your line of work, you see only the bad, only the vicious and corrupt, the worst the world has to offer. Just remember that there is equally so much good in the world - people who work diligently to uphold the morals and finer aspects of the world. People like you, Penelope. There are also those striving to cure the diseases of the world, and people who make wondrous and beautiful compositions of art and song.

And if that doesn't work, there are always twinkies.

I will, he'll love it.

I try to do that. I keep pictures of all my friends around, and make sure to take a ten minute break every hour and a half to dance to happy music.

Have you had the deep fried ones? Oh my gosh, they are proof God is in Heaven and she thinks we're fantastic.

I have! They really are delectable. I had to force myself not to buy more than two, last time I went to a fair. Even with my necessary and tremendous caloric intake, any more and I would have had to check myself for heart disease!

Uncle Doc!

Hi! You probably have no idea who I am.

I'm Henn, welcome to the place, mum will probably pop up eventually to point and laugh. But yes, this is that place.

From your eyes, I can only stand to guess that you are one of the LeBeaus. It is a wonderful pleasure, Henn. How is miss Petit? I haven't seen her since... well, since her expedition to Egypt.

Got it in one. And that was for-freakin-ever ago.

She's married now, has a kid that's not me, because I'm from an alternate timeline, running the guild with her pop's help now, since he just dropped in about a week ago, along with a younger one (because sometimes this place does that to people)

And I think that's all the important stuff.

It has been! And I'm so glad to hear that she's doing well for herself. I always had a feeling that her calling would be found in the Guild. While I may not personally condone their work, I do believe in fate, and it seemed as if she was fated for such a task.

As for the Remys... well. My hands will certainly be full, if what they told me is true, and there are very few other mutants they trust in this world.

From what I've heard the younger version seems to be doing okay for himself, and I'm pretty sure he's from even before your time, or, uh, before he met you. It's hard to tell, mum says he's 19, I've yet to meet him myself, planning on holding off on that for ... maybe ever.

Mum always taught me that destiny's what you make of it. Seems to me that she's made a good deal of it.

If he is nineteen, that would indeed be well before his introduction to the team. He was in his mid-twenties, I believe, when Ororo introduced us. It would probably behoove you to stay a bit of a secret to him for now, at least until he's adjusted himself. As for the elder, he's a good friend of mine, and we've been working together to level out his new-found potentials.

So she has.

Wouldn't want to break his brainmeats. Could turn out messy. And it's easy enough to stay out of the way around here, especially with all the comings and goings. In any case, you're welcome to come by the Turner-Skwigelf-Stillman household for dinner sometime, we'd be happy to have you.

I will certainly take you up on that offer! It would be a great pleasure to meet the daughter of one of my former students, and the rest of your family. Stillman, you say?

Ah, yes, I should have guessed that she and the young man were the ones to marry here. I only met him briefly, Remy had introduced me to him, when he returned to this world, and I believe we met once before, when I came to see the island for myself.

Yeah, Artan's my pops. He and mum have Henry now, which is the current-timeline offspring, whereas I'm the ... uh... more differenter one.

You should drop by the guildhall, see if you can surprise them. Though mum probably already knows you're here, she tends to know that kind of thing.

Indeed. I was told that this place was rather sparse in way of people from home, or really, any permutations of our reality, so I'm glad to add to this ragtag crew.
