All I said was 'this is a castle'. The guy who's loaning it to me said he had a house I could stay in. He used the term 'rather large' and forgot to mention the rest.

Where I come from, rather large is five bedroom. Not fifty.

It was the "Uh" that made me assume it was a complaint.

He probably wanted to impress you, therefore he forgot to mention the particulars of the "rather large". That's how men are.

Say, if I were in the mood to impress you, I'd say I'm known a little for my work.

It's actually rather good I'm not in the mood to impress.

Is that so? I met a guy once who thought he was a god. He was really just a worm. A symbiote. A parasite. I'm curious, though. How does one get to be the king of something like that?

Well, if he's a car, then I guess I'm kind of up for believing all kinds of things at this point. Not in Kansas and all that jazz. All the gods I've met before just... weren't.

Not exactly. The position was built for me, built around me, but I fell into it. Same goes with my current female counterpart. We're the same, you see, just... not. We have the same history, different memories of it, and are all around way too fucking awesome for this plane. But here we are. Stuck dealing with you mortals. Actually, Satan's better at it, she's had more experience. You should say hi to her some time. I've heard tell she likes women.

To be fair, the sex has been lacking in a serious way since my divorce as has the joy and - Well, since my parents aren't here, I can honestly say my virtue was long gone by the time I was seventeen.
