	The doctors will keep a close watch on her and the baby. Unless you tell them to, they won't deliver the baby until it's absolutely necessary to preserve the life of both Karen and the child. She most likely has other concerns besides the preeclampsia. Typically a low blood pressure is not an indicator. Is she spilling protein into her urine? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Dr. Chase said she was, yeah. They keep testing it and saying there's protein. She just started running a fever too. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	If she does have preeclampsia and it develops into eclampsia, she will need to be delivered immediately. They'll do everything they can for the baby. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	She was probably already predisposed to having hypertension. The stress of being stuck in the parking garage coupled with the stress of the probably concussion she sustained from the falling debris and the subsequent fall were sufficient to put her in the state she's in now. Pregnancy is a very unpredictable condition. Believe me, I know. (Reply to this) (Parent)
