It seems that everyone's in need of a good assistant these days. I'm no exception. Though the one I've got right now is good as good could be, she's been wanting a change of pace for a while, so I'd like to get someone more attuned to the idea of sorting through old texts, spells, enchanted artifacts and possibly working for immortals which are in the business of purveying items of dubious origin to shops and museums that can turn the other cheek.

Succinctly put, we (vampiric pirates) need you (hopefully magically/paranormally experienced assistant) to help us arrange things so we can set up shop in the next few months.

I completely understand how you feel.

Jack's the other one, yes. I'm Bill. Pleased to meet you, so to speak.

That sounds particularly good. I'll be having a small dry run of other applicants on Wednesday, see which one best suits our level of oddity and amusement, and come Thursday, I'll be keeping only one of you. Every single one of the applicants will be paid for their time spent, regardless of if they get the job.

Sound proper to you?

I'm Meggie, Meggie Folchart, and it's a pleasure to meet you as well, Bill.

Sounds like the only really fair way to do things, give everyone a fighting chance that way.

Well, please show up at [address] on Wednesday, bright and early. We'll be starting around noon, with snacks and luncheon.

It'll be a pleasure to meet you in person, Miss Folchart.

Bright and early was dawn when I was growing up, and for the library it's ten. What is it so far as you're concerned?

Once I know that I'll be there with bells on. Metaphorically, of course.

Nine. We'll be going through paperwork, the boring parts of actual business, getting to know everyone, whatever it is that legitimate businessfolk do. Break for lunch, then starting in on introduction to the whole mess.
