This place really is strange, but aside from the random bouts of crazy it really isn't all that different from home. I like it.

Easier to help folk here, for one thing, folk back home seem to resist help like it'll burn them if they get any. Not everyone, of course, but most. Always seemed strange to me, could be it's a pride thing, can understand that well enough.

Weather's been pretty cold these days, [London address] is still open to anybody who needs company or a meal, even a place to sleep, just don't freeze yourself getting here.

Are you accepting donations?

Ain't been asked that, not outright at least. Had a few people bring things by after staying a while, had a few others just leave things behind.

Ain't opposed to donations at any rate, no.

There are some items I have been instructed to dispose of--clothing, for the most part--as I see fit. I can't think of a better use for them than a charitable organization.

Won't pretend to be the most organized of organizations, but charitability is something I've got a lot of. Comes from being a Shepherd I think.

I'm sorry; I don't think I'm familiar with that religious title. How should I address you?

Book's fine, since it's my name.

Book. I'm Inspector Thatcher, lately of the RCMP.

Pleasure to meet you then, so to speak, Inspector.

Likewise.

I'll be bringing by those clothes tomorrow, then. It's mostly professional women's wear.

I'll be around. And anything's fine, really. One of the drop-ins actually went and organized the closet off the laundry, got it all arranged by size and everything, so far nobody's gone to un-do it.

Just goes to show, I think, people like to pass a gift on.

Very commendable. It sounds like I've found the perfect organisation to receive what I no longer need. Thank you.
