Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley.
What: Ron pays Hermione a little visit at the Library.
Where: Library.
When: Evening
Rating: TBD
Status: Incomplete.
Hermione really was in a weird mood. After her conversation with Ginny the other night she couldn't help but let those thoughts and emotions take control. Being in a relationship was something new and completely frightening to her. This was something she could truly fail at. What if she need up not being what Ron had really wanted? Logically she knew that she was more than just Ron. That if she and Ron didn't work out that there was a reason and she would continue on with her life, knowing that at least she tried. It was all such a strange line of thought. She and Ron had hardly been dating a week and she was already contemplating all sorts of things. Things she clearly had no reason to be thinking about.

Nestled back in the farthest corner at her favorite table she closed her journal. She did not need to be looking at that thing. She had come to the library to get things done. She'd been behind in her work and this was a perfect chance for her to get caught up. Ron, once again, had been her source of distraction. The last thing Hermione had wanted to do was fight with him, but it seemed that wasn't the plan for the day. Sighing quietly she rested back in her chair and pulled those out of control locks up into a tight bun. Her hair was frustrating her! Constantly falling into her face and Hermione had enough frustrations.

It was time to get back to work! Taking her quill in hand she began to chew lightly on the end. Her free hand flipped through the book of centaurs, trying to find exactly the thing she was looking for.

The fighting did seem like a distant memory now. Yet, in the same breath, it was something that they were still involved in. The anger had ebbed away and now they were discussing things. It felt like Christmas, almost, to Hermione. Ron Weasley hadn't stalked off and left her standing there in the Library. Instead, he had asked her to talk to him. The giddy sensation it brought on was hardly containable.

After hearing him talk about Viktor Hermione wrinkled her nose. "Being jealous of Viktor is silly, Ron," Hermione said softly, not wanting to seem as though she was scolding him. Although Hermione did understand that feeling of jealousy. The canaries should have been a clear indicator of that. "I don't write to him because I want him to come and take me away. It's much easier to owl him than it ever was to speak to him in person." Viktor had never been much of a talker, but writing he was good at. And Hermione loved a good letter. "You and Harry never wanted to write me. You thought it was silly. It was just nice to have someone that wanted to write me." Hermione wasn't mad about that. She just wanted to explain the letters. "All my letters are about my work or Harry or Ginny. But they're mainly about you." That last admission was a bit of an accident.

"I've already told you this, but ..I always hoped you would turn that Weasley charm on me. Waiting wasn't hard because I knew that there would be no one else for me, but you."

Ron's face furrowed in confusion. She wrote to Viktor because ... she wanted a pen friend? That was all? It seemed nearly unbelievable, especially to someone like Ron. Why would you want to write letters to someone? Then she admitted that her letters were about him, and a warm feeling spread over his body. Ron recognized it as blood rushing to his face, knew he was starting to turn red again. It didn't matter, though, it was hard not to be jealous of Viktor. Famous Quidditch player, rich, girls throwing themselves at him. After all that, he'd chosen Hermione. Ron's girl. He thought back to Bill and Fleur's wedding, remembered the way Krum at looked at him and Hermione, especially when Ron had grabbed Hermione's hand and forced her to dance with him. He'd done it mainly to get her away from Krum, but these days Ron wondered why he had more courage as a sixteen-year-old boy than he did now. Maybe it was because he thought they were all going to die back then.

Charm. Ron hasd never been accused of having charm before. He was perhaps the least charming person in all of history, but he was trying to work on it these days. As far as the Weasleys went, Ron knew he wasn't like the rest of his family. He wasn't smart like Percy, cool like Bill, adventerous like Charlie, funny like George, and he sure as hell wasn't everything the way his sister way. Ron was used to being the youngest boy, the most medicore in the family.

"You talk about me like I'm something special," Ron mused quietly, his fingers tracing small patterns on Hermione's leg.

Hermione shivered when he touched her leg like that. But she didn't allow him to continue that for long, especially not after his last statement. Turning her body around she grasped his face in her hands. Her brows came together. "Ron Weasley, you are special," she scolded him. "And even if you don't believe that you are, I do. I have believed it from almost the very first moment I met you." She couldn't exactly say it had been from moment one. She had sort of made fun of him for not using a proper spell. "You are much more than you're willing to admit you are."

Leaning forward she placed a little kiss onto the tip of his nose. Hermione wasn't sure why Ron didn't believe more in himself. Although, she knew it must have been hard for him coming up in such a big family. And a family that had that many personalities. It was Hermione's belief that Ron was the bravest of all the Weasley's. He had sacrificed his life so many times for the people he had love. Harry had no choice, Ron made up his mind to go. He could have stayed back and left them all for good, but he hadn't. Ron was Hermione's hero.

And though she knew that Ron would feel uncomfortable she couldn't help but stare at him, willing him to actually believe everything she actually said.

It would take a long time before Ron was willing to believe everything that Hermione was saying. At this point in time he wasn't sure if he'd ever be able to do that. There were so many people who made harder choices than he had and who did much braver things. There was always someone who was overall just ... better. That didn't mean that Ron was against hearing Hermione say these things to him. Despite the fact that he had a hard time believing her, he still enjoyed listening to her talk about him that way.

Ron placed his hands over Hermione's, turning his head slightly so he could kiss her palm. He offered a crooked grin and allowed her to stare at him for just a moment before he squirmed underneath her. Unwilling to let her go so easily, he moved his hands to the back of her neck and pulled her face forward, kissing her lips with an intensity that said maybe he did understand what she was trying to say.

No matter how long it might take Hermione would say these things to him again and again. One day, she was ocnvinced, Ron would actually believe what she was saying. One thing Ron had to know was that Hermione never lied. Perhaps she went mental every so often, but that did not mean she was a liar!

Hermione couldn't help the smile as he kissed her palm. She knew how strange things like this made Ron feel. She appreciated him even more for allowing her those few minutes. Shifting in his lap she turned completely around, not breaking the kiss he started, and straddled him. Her own hands had fallen down, resting firmly on his chest. And in that kiss Hermione did seem to somewhat understand. There were just certain things Ron could not say to her and she understood.

Ron couldn't help but groan slightly into Hermione's mouth as she shifted on top of him. Her body pressed against his in just the right way as she began to straddle him, and her hands on his chest made him feel sort of at her mercy. Though it was something he did not want to or plan on admitting, Hermione's spurts of bossiness turned him on. Well, when he wasn't too busy being annoyed with her. It didn't really help that he had come to see her that afternoon with a pair of orange knickers, which meant he'd already been thinking about her in her underwear all morning.

One of Ron's hands slid up the back of Hermione's neck to tangle in her hair while the other ran up one of her arms, squeezing her shoulder. His mouth opened and he pushed his tongue through Hermione's lips, finding her own tongue to caress. It had seemed like forever since he had been able to kiss her like this. He'd thought things would be better once they started talking again after such a gap in time, but the truth was that they both still had demanding jobs. Just because they were together didn't mean that they had a lot more free time to spend together.

Hearing Ron's groan was probably one of the greatest sounds Hermione would ever hear in her life. It made her especially proud to know that she was the cause for such a thing. It was empowering and it makde her feel wanted. Hermione wasn't sure when she had become that sort of girl. The sort of girl that craved attention like this. A girl that wanted these sorts of situations. Vaguely she wondered if it stemmed from the fact that she had never experienced anything like this before. But she was almost certain it had more to do with Ron. There was something about him that brought out a completely hidden side to her, but she could hardly admit that outloud.

A whimper passed through her lips when their tongues came into contact. The intimacy of this kiss was dizzying. It was one thing to hold hands and to sit near one another. It was a completely different sensation when they were as close as this. Hermione's thoughts drifited towards the present Ron had brought her earlier, wondering if she would ever get it back. And for the first time since she recieved her gift she contemplated the thought behind the gift. The thought made her warm all over. But how could she bring that up now?

Instead she continued to kiss him, letting her hands roam over his chest. It was a memorization of sorts, a way to catalog the way he felt. Studying was important, after all!

Ron kept kissing Hermione as if he needed it to survive. Maybe he did. He reveled in the fact that her hands seemed incapable of not touching him, imagining what it would be like if he didn't have that pesky shirt in the way. Her fingers were much softer and smoother than he was used to, she had fingernails that would catch against his skin. It was surprising that he still felt so dizzy. Didn't this kind of thing wear off after a while? Ron prayed that it didn't.

"'Mione.." Ron was talking a low voice, mumbling in between kisses, pulling his mouth away from hers just long enough to speak. He closed the gap between each syllable, as if he couldn't control himself anymore. "You promised." He was thinking about the conversation they'd had in which she'd promised to make .. something up to him. He could barely remember and it hardly seemed important. "Orange knickers." Ron's desire to see Hermione in the tiny orange lingerie he'd bought far outweighed the embarrassment of asking, at least for the time being. "Left them, your bedroom."

The way he kept pulling away to speak to her was making her positively giddy. It was endearing in a way that Hermione couldn't completely explain. The eagerness she sensed in him was something that she hoped he would always have where she was concerned. She began to pull her body away from him, but not before one last lingering kiss. Giving up that closeness was a hard choice, but Ron was right. She had promised. "A promise is a promise," she said with a smile.

Her heart was racing as she slipped into her bedroom, closing the door behind her. She almost laughed at herself. Ron had already seen her completely starkers and he was about to see her in the lingerie he bought her. Why would the door need to be shut? But now was hardly the time to dawdle. Quickly she shimmied out of her jeans and tshirt. Looking around her room she saw the little pink box on top of her dresser. For a moment she let her fingers run over the box, thinking back to when he had given it to her. She hadn't been very nice about it.

But this was her chance to show him just how much she did appreciate him and his gift. Peeling off her remaining clothes she hooked the orange bra and slid on the orange panties, surprised to see that they fit. Ron hadn't done such a bad job after all. Looking down at herself she felt her cheeks heat up. She certainly hoped Ron would enjoy this. Slowly she opened her door and stepped back out towards the living room.

Hermione didn't say anything she just popped a hip and leaned against the wall, clearing her throat. No time to feel shy.

The three minutes Hermione was gone were possibly the longest three minutes of Ron's life. He was only half-positive that she was going to oblige him, so when she pulled himself off his lap and scurried off to her bedroom he was both surprised and pleased. He hoped she wouldn't freak out in the time she was gone and decide that he was going to leave her for some other woman. That was some weird sort of rubbish. He hadn't even been with another woman while they weren't together! What would make him want one now? He noticed that she had shut the door and wondered if she was trying to surprise him or keep him out. He fidgeted.

Ron heard the door open and he nearly jumped off the couch to see what was happening. Hermione was standing there, propped against the wall, looking positively devious in the orange lingerie he'd purchased. Ron felt his throat get tighter and he couldn't help but think that really, lingerie was rather pointless. Looking at her now, wearing that, he wanted nothing more than to rip it off of her. Sure, she looked great -- wasn't that the point? But he didn't want to be seeing her IN the orange knickers anymore, only out of them. It seemed a waste to spend so much money on things you were just going to take off. He tried to figure out if he could control himself to the point where she'd be able to keep it on for a while. He thought he could try, at least.

Crossing the room swiftly, Ron pressed his body against Hermione's, pushing her back into the wall the way he had with their first kiss. A hand was planted firmly on each side of her hips and his head was bending down to reach her lips in another intense kiss.

It wasn't a completely off thought that Hermione would, in the time she was gone, freak out completely and never come back out of her bedroom. Ron was lucky, though. She'd barely let herself think about anything, but him. It seemed to keep her much more focused and willing to do what she had just done.

The look in his eyes and the way he had jumped off of the couch had made her cheeks flush. Hermione had known that she would get some sort of reaction. Would it be good? Bad? Somewhere in between? She was playing with her fingers now and worrying her bottom lip. Not hearing him speak almost set Hermione into a panic, the knots multiplying as she stood there in nothing but tiny lingerie. This was either completely worth it or one of the most embarassing moments of her life. Was time standing still?

And then, what seemed like in slow motion, he was suddenly on his way over, touching her. Her eyes widened a bit as he came at her, surprised that though it seemed to be going so slow he was suddenly there, and had pressed himself against her half naked body. Hermione thanked her lucky stars that she hadn't needed to wait any longer. That he was answering her unasked question without words. Her hands fisted in his shirt as she pulled herself up to match the intensity of his kiss.

Ron thought that it was ridiculous that he was wearing so many articles of clothing when Hermione clearly had the right idea on how to be dressed. The way her fingers grasped at his shirt made him wonder if she possibly felt the same way. His hands moved from the wall to wedge themselves in between their bodies. He was too busy kissing her to continue to get a good look at the 'outfit' he'd purchased, so he might as well see what it felt like. Ron's fingers roamed innocent over Hermione's stomach for just a few seconds before moving up, caressing the lace of her new bra as well as the soft, warm skin of her breasts.

Ron's teeth caught Hermione's bottom lip, biting just hard enough to justify smoothing his tongue over the tiny indents left behind. He was making a small sound in the base of his throat -- something akin to groaning but not quite as loud. Yet. The redhead changed tactics and moved his hand down over Hermione's stomach again, rolling over her hips to touch the lace of her knickers.

It was true. Hermione did believe Ron was wearing just a few too many pieces of clothing. She found it a little unfair. Her fingers itched to touch bare skin. Without any further hesitation her hands slid down his stomach, stopping at the hem of his shirt. The dizzying way he kissed and touched her caused her to pause in her mission, allowing herself another moment of mindless bliss.

A tiny whimper was given when he bit down onto her lip, breaking her from the mindless reverie. Hermione had been on a mission, hadn't she? Fingers moved underneath his shirt, slowy raking her nails over his torso. Hermione had never realized just how much she would enjoy touching skin that people hardly ever saw. It was hers. And the thought was exhilarating. Her hips rolled in his direction as his hand came into contact with her new knickers. Hermione's mind had never been so blank.

Ron had been thinking a lot about all the things he had never done before. He'd never taken a girl out to an incredibly fancy restaurant. He'd never really gone to a library, on purpose, just to see one. He'd certainly never bought women's underwear before, especially not in very hard-to-find orange. He'd never been completely thrown by just the simple feel of fingernails on his chest. And he'd never tried to pick a girl up and carry her into a bedroom before, but it seemed like now was a decent enough time to try. He wasn't quite afraid that he would drop her, but there was always the possibility of something very awkward happening.

Ron started slowly, sliding one hand down Hermione's thigh until he came to grip the back of her kneecap, pulling one leg up to hitch it around his waist. When she didn't make any sounds like she was in pain, Ron firmly placed his hand underneath her arse and hoisted her up. She actually weighed a lot less than he had expected, especially when she wrapped her legs around his waist and looped her arms around his neck. He held her for a moment, kissing her neck while he judged his sense of balance, and then Ron took the few steps into Hermione's bedroom. Sometimes he was surprised at his new found ability to do things like this. His auror training had been going on for quite some time, but it wasn't often Ron got to test out his arm muscles quite like this.

Ron carried his half-naked girlfriend to the bed, putting one knee on the edge and leaning forward before he gently laid her down. Then he just stared for a moment, blue eyes taking in the sight of Hermione, hair sprawled out behind her, wearing something that HE had picked out for her. The orange contrasted against her sheets, but he didn't mind. He didn't think she minded too much either.

But what if she did? Ron had a sudden flash of panic that maybe he had done something wrong. Maybe he was going too far, with the carrying and the bed and all that. She had been pretty bloody mad earlier. Suddenly self-conscious (though he still had all this clothes at least!), Ron just sort of lay down next to Hermione, his body facing hers, with his head propped up on his elbow.

Hermione had said it earlier and now she was thinking it all over again. No -- she wasn't worried about Ron thinking about someone else. At least not for the moment. She was most certainly surprised by Ron's boldness. It seemed that most of the things Ron did lately were a surprise. Pleasany surprises. Never in a milliom years had Hermione actually expected Ron to enter a store to buy her any sort of under garment. Not to mention he had actually come to see her in a Library. Perhaps all of these things were reasons why she should have known there was no one else.

There were most certainly times in her life when she hadn't taken a liking to Ron's 'I do what I want' sort of attitude. In fact, it had hardly ever been something she enjoyed. She was, after all, practically always right. But she was allowing herself to get sidetracked by these thoughts.

Hermione lay on the bed and reaching a hand up to fingers over his cheek. She could see the battle in his eyes. She had longed since learned that Ron tended to wear his heart on his sleeve. His emotions were almost always evident in those blues. There was something stopping him and she was almost certain that was her fault. She had made him feel awkward in a situations like this. She had to rectify it. Rolling over onto his side when he lay down next to her she smiled. A hand reached out, resting against his chest. "Will you be staying tonight?" She asked in an innocent voice. It might have been a question, but it was still an offering to him. It was something she hoped he would catch onto.

There used to be a time in Ron's life when he found it quite easy to get mad at Hermione, to huff off in a rage and refuse to speak to her for hours, days, weeks. He frowned slightly, thinking of the last time they had gone ages without speaking. It wasn't recently, no, they still talked every now and then, still saw each other at work. Even though they hadn't been close the way they should have been for the past couple of years, it wasn't anything like .. then. Back when Hermione had gone with Harry and he had stayed behind. He didn't know what to call that whole episode but he did know it was one of the worst times in his life.

Would he stay now? Of course he would. There was practically no need to ask the question. He would stay tonight and every single other night she ever asked. Ron wasn't even sure he could walk away mad anymore. Hadn't he already been weakening, been trying to talk to her when she'd gotten mad this afternoon? Any other time he would have stormed out of the library. He was stubborn; one of his best and one of his worst qualities. Things were different now, or at least he wanted them to be.

"D'you want me to stay?" Ron thought he probably knew the answer, but he still liked to hear her say it. He angled his body towards her further, pressing her chest against her hand.

It was on the tip of her tongue, the very tip, to suggest he get a key from her. She silently wondered how he would react to that. Perhaps it was all too fast. Then why didn't it feel so fast to her? There were things she wanted to say, things she wanted to do, but logically she knew that it was too much. Hermione knew that Ron was hardly ready for the things that felt so natural to her. On the same level she knew that she wasn't ready. She had, after all, just accused him of thinking of other women.

Her hand hand wandered down to the hem of his shirt once more. A deliberately slow drag of her hand was made just at the top of his pants before sliding up under his shirt. "I don't know. You are quite the cover hog," she said with a smirk. Hermione had been teasing and she hoped that Ron would catch on to that. Of course she wanted him to stay. "But strangely, I don't mind too much." Did that answer his question? She hoped so.

Ron felt it, too. He was torn between wanting to treat everything like a normal relationship, taking things slowly and moving at a normal page, to wanting to act as if they'd been together for eleven years. After all, hadn't they? At least in some fashion, where everyone from their parents to their friends to their own subconscious brains knew that they were together. Supposed to be together. Thankfully Hermione tore his mind away from such serious thoughts with just the tips of her fingers. Did she realize how sensitive his skin was right, how crazy she drove him every time her fingers scraped against the small trail of red hair leading below his belt? He sensed, looking at the smirk played out on her lips, that she did. Two could play that game.

"I bet it gets cold without the blanket. Especially wearing something like that. You think you can deal with that tonight?" Ron stretched out his own hand to begin touching, ever so gently, Hermione's chest. His fingers traced the line of the lace on the top of her bra's cup, drew a straight line down her belly and then moved in the same deliberately slow pattern across the top of her knickers.

Ron had better be careful. Hermione was a tough person to beat. She never backed down from a challenge. In fact, a challenge only spurred her on. This little game that Ron was playing with her now was exciting. It was a new spin on all the other more not so nice games that they had shared over the years. Hermione was enjoying this much more.

Goosebumps raised on her skin as he touched her. It was a clear indication of just how much that small touch affected her. But Hermione wasn't going to give in just yet. "Oh, you think I was wearing this to bed tonight?" She asked innocently. "I was actually thinking that I was going to put my long flannel nightgown on." Hermione continued with the innocent, teasing look. She knew full well that she hadn't planned on wearing that at all. "Keeps me nice and warm even when my blankets are taken away." Her fingers continued to make small patterns, slowly moving up and down the length of his torso.

"I don't know what it is about girls always being too cold," Ron started idly, his fingertips swirling around Hermione's belly button, "But I get too hot, yanno?" Ron sat up and stretched, pulling his body away from Hermione's wandering hand. He grasped the hem of his t-shirt and then pulled it up and over his head in one swift motion. He was pretty sure that seeing him without a shirt had less of a effect on Hermione than if the situation were reversed, but nonetheless he thought it was about time he lose some of his clothing too. He kicked off his shoes while he was at it; Hermione would probably yell at him later if he got dirt in her bed.

"You won't be wearing that to bed tonight if I have my say," Ron sounded a hell of a lot more confident than he actually felt. "But you won't be wearing a flannel nightgown either." He paused to appraise Hermione's body again before he covered it with his own. Easing gently down on top of her, he propped himself up so he wasn't put all his weight down, and grinned. "I can keep you warm."

Her stomach was sucked in for a moment as he continued to slowly torture her. She was almost certain that Ron would be quite surprised at just how much a shirtless Ron effected her. Her eyes were fixed on his back, admiring the way his muscles shifted as he took off his shirt. There was a lot to appreciate in looking at a shirtless Ron. "I wish I wasn't always so cold. It's rather annoying," she said thoughtfully. Maybe it had something to do with the little body fat that she had. She needed extra layers!

"Oh? I won't? That does cause a problem. I won't be able to stay warm if I don't." Hermione liked hearing his confidence, even if he didn't actually feel it. Her cheeks flushed when she noticed him turning the tables and staring at her. Instinct caused her to raise her hands up over her chest even though he was on top of her now. "You will? That's awfully tempting," she said with a smile.

"You'll be able to stay warm," Ron assured her, especially if his own body temperature was any indication. Maybe it was just part of being a guy, or maybe it was just part of being Ron, but he always felt as if he was running a few settings higher. Maybe it had nothing to do with his actual body and everything to do with Hermione, especially these days.

Then he noticed the way she moved to try and cover herself, and Ron almost laughed. "You're being shy," he accused, his voice teasing. He certainly had no room to talk, but it was kind of cute nonetheless. It was easier for Ron to act this way when he still had his pants on. He rubbed one of his hands over the curve of her waist, her thigh, and back up to her waist again in a slow pattern. It seemed like his palm nearly covered her entire stomach.

"I suppose we'll just have to test out that theory," she said with a single nod. Her own fingers felt cold against her bare skin, despite how warm she felt her body becoming. Ron truly was a wonderful blanket. Hermione wondered, though, just what might be causing the rise in her temperature. Perhaps Ron was keeping her warm more ways than one.

Hermione pouted. "I am not being shy," she said in a semi-teasing, semi-defensive tone. She was almost certain she looked silly, laying there with a pout, her hair a mess, and in orange lingerie. Her body shifted a bit underneath him, his touch causing more of a reaction this time. "I'm ..I'm simply trying to keep all of me warm!" It was an awful lie.

Ron kissed Hermione's neck and dragged his lips up to her ear. "I can keep you warm," he said again, this time in a lower tone of voice. One hand moved up to cup the side of Hermione's face as he kissed her mouth. His lips moved slowly against hers, his tongue pushing into her mouth to caress hers. Ron's free hand slid down her arm until he found her own, laced his fingers through hers in a strangely intimate move. His bare chest pressed against Hermione's, hopefully warming her up. Her skin was cool to his touch, but that could be fixed. Hell, if she was really cold they could duck underneath the blanket. The thought made him grin into the kiss; it would be like playing fort for grown-ups.

Hermione shivered when he spoke in her ear like that. There was something about his voice that Hermione couldn't resist. She had been about to speak when his lips covered hers. It was certainly one way to make sure Hermione didn't speak. She wondered if that technique would ever work on Ron. Maybe it was something she could use while they were fighting.

Her own tongue slid against his, enjoying the feeling of it. She squeezed his hand when he laced it with hers. There was something about that single moment that caused her heart to squeeze. There was something almost different in this kiss, in this embrace. It was something that she couldn't quite place her finger on. Feeling him grin caused her to pull back slightly. "What's that grin for?" She asked quietly? Ever the curious little witch.
