She was irate. It was evident in her facial expression. She wanted to jump from the very stern of the ship, drive straight into the water and let the ship crush her against the waves. That was irrational, though … he was old, she would outlive him and hopefully Henry would keep his promise and let her marry who she wished after that. She boarded the ship, the attention of everyone on deck was on her – she acknowledged them with a slight nod of her head but continued quickly to her room. Charles followed to show her and … out of protocol. Into the small room she went, looking about it before turning to face him. Her right brow rose in question but she said nothing.
