Constance smiled at the boy who seemed to drift off there for a bit. She was highly amused. She continued around until she was closer to him, and slowly sat down on the edge of the couch nearest his chair.

"I am far too young to be your mother. Definitely not a teacher, so no. No reprimands from me. Though what do you have against socialising. There can be lots of fun in that. If you know how to do it properly." She smiled at him. "If our positions were reversed, would you be reprimanding me? But there is nothing to be apologising for, agreed?"

She laughed and layed back a bit. "Perhaps I was in here resting off the dancing," she said, throwing a hand over her forehead dramatically. "And suddenly a handsome young man sneaks in the room. Oh horror!" she said laughing and sitting up quickly. "Whatever shall I do?" she said feiging fright but smiling while she did.

"I have nothing against socialising, though sometimes it can be exhausting. Saying the right things to the right people; all those pretenses tend to tire one out!" Despite his words, he smiled. "And no, I do not think I would reprimand you. I think, at best, I would apologise for intruding and then ask if you would care for company or if you thought it looked a touch scandalous," he said, grinning, just a little cheekily.

Piper leaned forward just a bit, thinking he liked this lady. She seemed quite fun. He laughed along with her and said, "You should ask his name. And when you do, he'll tell you it is Piper and ask if he might enjoy a moment of your company. You see, he'll have gauged you to be an interesting woman and be rather intrigued by you. As you are neither mother nor teacher to him, he'll wonder if, then, you might not be a conversing companion, at least for the moment." He looked at her a moment before settling back in his chair. "But that, of course, is purely hypothetical."

"Then I do believe you are doing it wrong my boy," Constance said grinning. "Socialising should be fun. Be yourself and enjoy people." She sat up a bit and smiled back at him. "Then I would say you were not intruding for it would be my pleasure to have you join me. ANd perhaps it IS scandalous; shall I look shocked now?" Constance feigned shock and surprise at him.

She leaned on the arm of the couch and grinned at him. "Well, hypothetically speaking, she would say it was very nice to make your acquaintance Piper. I am Constance Mosley and would be very happy to enjoy your company. She would smile because he is very charming and quite handsome, and carries himself well. And as he is neither son nor brother, she would very much like talking to him, and hopefully more than just this moment." She sat back a bit and grinned.

"Hypotheticall speaking of course."
