Subject: Viv's been a naughty girl.
Who: Vivian Thorpe.
Where: The Theatre, on stage.
Warnings: Violence, lots of shouting, I imagine.
Open to: Harry Fisher, Nell Abbot, anyone who'd be attending rehearsals (eventually, and staggered; they won't be coming in just yet, or all at once).

Rehearsals would be starting soon, and this place was still a dump. Vivian sighed as she surveyed the stage from stage right, stepping across the boards, the sound of her boots echoing around the empty theatre. She brought her broom with her, making sure there was nothing about that could potentially trip up any of the boys, brushing any dirt from boots and props off of the front of the stage. She'd clean the front rows later. For now, it didn't matter.

She sang to herself as she worked, in a surprisingly good mood. She was feeling a little better, not so sickly and shivery, and her rather depressed mood had lifted somewhat. She wasn't thinking about Harry today, she was more focused on the things she had to do. She had to do some laundry, and finish the washing up from breakfast, and start lunch, and then she had the luxury of some time to herself; there was another storm, and the rain was as heavy as it had been the other night, so she would have to wait before she could peg the laundry out to dry. She'd use that time to read or something. A nice customer had taught her to read once, he'd been a regular chap. Shame when he died.

She propped the broom against the side and grabbed her mop, fully intending to begin mopping the wings. She wasn't expecting any interruptions.

"Please, Harry... please..." She sobbed into her skirts, desperately trying to regain some composure. "To me... you're just... two men, it don't matter what rivalry you've got, I... I love you, oh, please..." She reached out, all but hugging his leg, knowing it was a pathetic show of desperation but really, what else did she have? She was pathetic, and she was desperate. And she was a terrible, terrible person. "Please don't throw me out, Harry, I'm so sorry..."

It was too much to stand - all the shouting and screaming. Harry couldn't mean to actually throw her out.
"Harry please!" He cried. "I know what Viv did was wrong but Harry you can't!"

Harry turned, looking at Nell, surprised to see the boy there, but it did not diminish his anger. "Because of her, Slater almost took you from me!" He said, letting go of her and stepping away, clearly despising being clung to, especially by her. "Doesn't matter about the rivalry? Doesn't matter? Don't you have any idea? Didn't you think?" He said to her, "You know what Slater did. What he does. And you betrayed me. And the boys. You put them all at risk! And I don't believe that you wouldn't go back to him if you stayed. Because you would. After all, he'd hold you and treat you right, wouldn't he? Tell you it was all alright and marry you one day, right? All you'd have to do was sell all of us to him, once by one!"

"Harry please!" Nell said, glancing quickly at Viv. "It's not because of her, Harry. And he didn't take me. I'm not Georgie. Just leave Viv alone, she knows what she did was wrong but...but Harry she loves you. She just wants company. Viv said herself she didn't know at the start. What if he threatened her too?"

Viv didn't fight anymore, didn't try and defend herself, or get her point across. There was no use, Harry wasn't listening. And anyway. She deserved it. Nell was there, standing up for her, trying to help her, and her actions had nearly gotten him killed or kidnapped. She didn't deserve his defence. She didn't. She just sat there sobbing, hugging her knees, knowing there would be no reasoning with him. She was going to be thrown out, and the first thing she was going to do was find a bridge and hurl herself into the Thames. It was best for everyone. "Oh, Harry, I'm sorry," She whimpered eventually, looking up at him and Nell. She felt a rush of love and affection towards the boy, but didn't move, simply looking at him, sniffing.
