Item: Letter from unknown source to Demetri Blake
Warnings: NC-17
Open to: narrative, but open if someone wants to find him

Details are late and you have missed your drop. Perhaps you should focus on what you need to rather than spend time at the "theatre". If you do not deliver news at the prementioned location by 1pm Friday, perhaps your distractions will need to be removed. Do not trifle with this; you do know the consequences of your actions.

Demetri crumpled up the note and tossed it over his desk. This was becoming unbearable. He was lying to his family, his friends, and now Nell, maybe even the Bridge Theatre was in danger. He sighed as he stood and went to the window. If only he knew who he was dealing with, he would take care of them himself. But he knew the threats were real. The question was, did he warn those at the theatre... did he tell Harry of the danger. Doing that would likely mean he'd have to tell him why and he couldn't do that.

What scared him most was that he was being followed. Who know how far they reached and exactly how much they DID follow him. Perhaps staying at Blake Estate wouldn't be a terribly bad idea. Christopher could take care of himself, and he dare say so could Lucas, but he would always be there to protect Olivia.

He leaned against the window and glanced out. He needed help to do what he wanted to do but he also just needed help in general. The question remained just who could he trust.

"Oh, thank you" Nell said, pocketing the shilling quickly. "It was my pleasure, and I hope you invite me again."

He let Demetri lead them back downstairs and into the drawing room, hoping Harry would not be making trouble. The last thing he needed was for Demetri to be convinced he wished to become a patron and have Harry ruin it by being caught with his hand in the man's desk.

"It was my pleasure too," Demetri said and tried not to laugh too terribly at the lame joke he'd made. "I would very much like to invite you again Nell."

They made their way downstairs; he hoped Mr. Fisher had not been too terribly inconvenienced in the time the two have been away.

Harry had the sense not to be caught looking through someone else's private papers, and was sat comfortably in the same seat the two had left him before. He'd managed several pages since they had retreated upstairs, as well as having had a general poke around the rooms downstairs. He'd not found anything too scandalous, but hadn't expected to, so there was no lose there. And the liquor he had been left with had been rather good.

He looked up as the two returned to the room, folding down the corner of his page. "Ah, there you are. I trust you enjoyed your discussions?" He said, shutting the book and slipping it back into his pocket.

Demetri smiled as they got downstairs, Nell walking ahead of him and nodded. Harry was still seated on the couch and looked fairly comfortable. "We did... did indeed. I hope you found everything down here to your liking?" He moved around to the chair and sat, motion for Nell to take a sit as well. "Can I get you another Scotch? Nell would you like some more Brandy?"

Nell settled, a little gingerly, on one of the chairs.
"A brandy would be lovely, thank you." He repled before turning his attention to Harry. "Demetri has something he would like to ask you." He said rather sweetly.

More brandy was quickly retrieved for Nell and Demetri smiled as he offered it to him. And then he turned to Harry as he sat down once again. "Nell is quite right. Please forgive me if any formality is overstepped but I would like to give you money for the theatre, well you know, to help out with it. A patron of sorts, if you would have me," he said, nervous but glad to not be showing it. "I'm not exceedingly wealthy but I am comfortable, and would like to do it."

Harry raised an eyebrow, glancing briefly to Nell before looking back to his host, folding his leg over the other, fingers curling around his knee. "A patron of the whole theatre, Mr Alexandre? As in, of the arts?" He said, secretly amused but not showing it. This was important, after all. "A patron of the building, of the productions? Or are you more interested in supporting the boys? Or one in particuluar?" He asked, looking to Nell again, as if to demonstrate what he meant. "I assure you one has many more benefits than the other."

Demetri looked at Harry, trying to be serious now, his hands resting firmly on his own legs. He supposed he should have found all this out beforehand, but no matter. "I suppose it would depend on what would be more beneficial in the long run. The best use of my patronage Mr. Fisher. I am, after all, a fan of the arts, among other things." He thought quickly, glancing just a bit at Nell too, pondering the choices. Patron no matter what, he'd be able to keep an eye out on it, Harry and Nell, keep them out of danger.

"I would say, Mr Alexandre, that it would be better if you sponsored one of the boys. No only would it get you more beneficial treatment, but I think it would be better for all concerned. The Bridge Theatre itself is not in need of any particularly special care, its upkeep is maintained, but the actors... well." He smiles slightly, "If you were to sponsor one of the boys, Mr Alexandre, Nell, for example, you would be able to see him far more often, for longer, and I would be quite happy to allow you both to meet outside the theatre without an escort."

Demetri smiled and then looked at Nell and back to Harry "I certainly have no qualms about supporting one of the boys certainly. It is more about helping after all." He looked over to Nell again and smiled. "Would you like that, to be able to see each other outside the theatre, for me to help you out?"

Nell had been listening quitely, sipping from the glass Demetri brought him but he was still slightly startled when he was addressed.

He smiled warmly at Demetri.
"I would like that very much."

Demetri smiled and nodded. "If you are in equal agreement Mr Fisher, I would say we have a deal." He was rather very happy; this was a good thing. "I trust the formalities will not be too difficult to conclude?" He had to smile; his father would probably have turned twelve shades of red had he still been alive at his actions, but the money he used would be his own, not the family money. Despite himself, Demetri admired and was liking Mr. Fisher more and more.

"Then we have a deal, Mr Alexandre." Harry said, sitting up from his slouch. "There is a monthly payment, but you and I can arrange that later. I'd like to take Nell home now, however, if it's all the same to you. He's had a busy evening and tomorrow he does have rehearsals to attend to."

Demetri smiled and stood up extending his hand. "Then we do Mr. Fisher. I look forward to working the details out with you, and by all means get him back home. We did agree on two hours and it is just about that now." He offered his way back to the front of the house. "I do hope rehearsals go well."

Harry inclined his head, setting down his glass and getting to his feet. "I'm sure you'd appriciate the rest, wouldn't you, Nell?" He says to the boy. "And you'll have to come and see us again soon, of course, to arrange all the details. In a day or so, perhaps?"

"I will," Demetri said with a smile to them both. "Of course I will. And I will send word when I can come to the Theatre and we can certainly get everything arranged."

He opened the door for them, their carriage right as it should be. "Safe journey home, both of you, and do have a good night. Good-bye Nell."
